I’d love to make a super edit of all the posts where you cry “I’M DONE”, after starting/engaging with an argument and then accuse someone of being condescending/obtuse/just not agreeing with you. Maybe if i’ve got some time free on Sunday.

I suspect Hasbro expect very few people to vote for Gnaw and Shrapnel. It feels like a tactic so that less people are upset when their favourite doesn’t win. This feels like a two horse race between Needlenose and the Battlecharger.

Needlenose is the only valid choice here. Nowt wrong with Titans Return Gnaw, another Shrapnel means people are gonna want Bombshell and Kickback redone as well (and it took long enough for that to happen last time) and Runamuck/bout without the other just seems kinda pointless.

If that won they'd probably so a select series release for the other, or just sell it as a two pack online.

And in the long run we'll get all three anyway.

What do you mean "kinda pointless". These guys haven't been done for general retail since G1. Even if you'd count the timelines guys, that was in 2012 which was SEVEN YEARS ago.

Could be. But maybe better not. I'm not a fan of fanvotes for new figures.
Unless it's a build a figure vote like with Windblade etc.

Do we know the next phase will have Micromasters again? Is it possible they'd return to a Legends Class type figure, maybe a slightly different size or paired with some new accessory type?

By Primus, these fan votes are getting worse and worse every year.

First fan vote, the fans actually got to create an original Transformers character. Resulting in Windblade. Who's since gone on to be one of the more popular Transformers out there. Starring in her own comic mini series and has been featured in every cartoon since her creation.
    [IMG][IMG]

Then we had Victorion. First all-female combiner. Who hasn't really translated to anything outside the comics other than her appearance in the mediocre Machinima series. Though, IMO, I think the best thing she ever did was being repainted into Takara's Unite Warriors Megatronia.
    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Next was the Titans Return fan vote. Zero creative input. Simply fans choose between 3 city-bots. One of which will get a new toy in the line. A line specifically based around the Headmaster gimmick. And who do the fans pick? Trypticon. The one guy who's never been a Headmaster and doesn't even have a robot mode where a Headmaster gimmick would work. Yeah, I blame the fans on that one.

The Power of the Primes fan vote. Who should get the Power of the Primes treatment? Well, Optimus Primal did make the most sense even if the final toy they made was somewhat disappointing and not all that inspired. And looking at Siege Ultra Magnus and Shockwave, you can't tell me they're who Hasbro was hoping would win.

The Seige vote. This is where it really starts to get uninteresting. So you want Spinister and Wheeljack, Needlenose and Tracks, or Mirage and Impactor? All characters who have had new, great to decent CHUG toys recently. Yes, some of them were TFCC exclusives, but at least they exist.

Then the G1 vote. Perceptor, Astrotrain, Thundercracker, or Skywarp. Honestly, why are any of these an option? For what WalMart's selling these G1 reissues for, you can pick up any of these, either existing reissues or original, for the same price!

And then another G1 poll, again, same as the first, why? None of these guys are rare or much more expensive on the secondary market than they would be a WalMart. Also, why is Skywarp here again? Was he runner up in the previous poll?

Now we've got this misbegotten poll.
So do you want another Sharkticon mold even though we just got one in Titans Return, Legends, and now a new one coming Cyberverse that looks exactly the same?
    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
Or do you want Runabout/Runamuck, who already got great deluxe toys as part of the TFCC and some pretty good legends toys in Transformers Adventure?
    [IMG][IMG]
How about a Shrapnel toy which they've already done in Thrilling 30, Adventure, and even reissued in Power of the Primes?
    [IMG][IMG]
The one that makes the most sense here is Needlenose, who only got a TFCC exclusive repaint of CW Figeflight. Which is still a really good CHUG version of the character, even coming with his 2 targetmaster partners, but I guess John Warden really wants a new original toy of him. Which is probably why he stuck him with all these shelfwarmers.

Will we ever go back to more exciting and creative polls, Hasbro? Or are you just going to keep giving us this garbage that feels so inconsequential it's almost insulting. Is the next poll going to be, pick the 32th BotBot that will be in this case of BotBot blind packs? How about picking the tertiary accent color for your next line of packaging? Or maybe what kind of toilet paper to stock in Hasbro's HQ bathrooms?

Out of those options, needlenose, or Runa*, I want a legends version of barrage, ransack and venom. I don't see the point of another pass at Shrapnel or Gnaw.

We really missed out when he lost. So many different possible molds they could have gone with.

Maybe they'll do both Micromasters and legends.

To be fair, at the time of the vote, we did not know what the gimmick was going to be.

    Never mind...

I’d take that! I could easily see characters like Cliffjumper released in a smaller ‘height/mass’ than the current Deluxes, but with accessories to boost up the price/part count so they’re sold at Deluxe prices.

Basically, just like how Shockwave is Voyager sized in mass/height but released at Leader price point with additional accessories. I think they’ll do exactly that for the smaller guys, just in the Deluxe range (or maybe slightly under, if they reintroduce the Scout class)

Bumblebee could be like his Classics ‘06 figure for example, where he was smaller than the others in that line but had his trailer that converted to Jetpack.

I just think it's funny that the only leadership the Decepticons had during POTP were evil Autobots and Prime Masters.

i dont think we know one way or the other, but the post i quoted says the battlechargers should be micromasters

how does needlenose make anymore sense than runamuck/runabout. their deluxes have all been tfcc exclusives and the legends duo from takara had 1/2 of the duo be an exclusive to a magazine. hardly general retail for either

the other thing people need to consider is that needlenose wont come with either targetmaster. greenlight shows that a deluxe with a battlemaster would retail for $25, so a deluxe with two would retail for $30. theres a high probability that needlenose would end up without one of or either of his targetmasters

    This!

If they did Runabout and Runamuck that would be three easy repaint remolds...
    off Wheeljack!

Also notice they appeared out of the blue in the TCG...as did Needle Nose...and Scrapnel -without his team.

Also the Changed deluxe price point makes me wonder if they aren't considering 2 legends = deluxe releases at some point, I'm still disappointed that flywheels didn't have two component robot modes.
