Agreed. It could also be locked behind the post-game, like Diamond/pearl/platinum did.

 

I'm not worried too much about the Home thing. 1) I don't really bother with old mons when I play a game 2) I can see that thing not holding up as the gen goes by.

Really curious about Impidimp's evolutionary line...

 

I think Sun and Moon had a time period for their's, like 4 or 5 months after launch before someone could upload past Pokemon to their game.

 

But that was because it took pokemon bank forever to update. They mentioned this about Pokemon Home, which is confirmed to be released in 2020. We knew Pokemon bank would allow all Pokemon to come in, but we don't have that luxury with Pokemon Home, it seems.

According to "certain" sources, it took 28 minutes.

 

Looks bleak at the moment, but I'm going to give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt for now and trust that they won't keep past Pokemon from this newest generation forever. I'm hoping they'll clarify this issue further in the months leading to Sword and Shield.

 

I'm keeping hope as well. For all we know, they could release a patch for the pokemon a few months after Pokemon Home releases. It just stinks at the moment.

edit: I hope Pokemon Home acts as a National Pokedex as well as featuring minigames in it. I know it can trade and stuff, but something about not seeing my previous pokemon not with the player trainer.

 

I expected the Dark-Fairy to be some kind creepy ass clown, but I actually like this design and theme! It reminds me of a Heartless or Unversed lmao! Considering Kingdom Hearts and Pokémon are my two favorite RPG series then that makes me even more happy, lol.

The Corgi on the other hand looks like it could be Normal-Electric. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we had that Type combination before.

 

Does the order matter? If not, helioptile of gen 6 was electric-normal.

 

Oh, that's right, I forgot about that lovable weirdo. And no order doesn't matter; it still has the same strengths and weaknesses.

While I too am annoyed that all the Pokemon don't seem to be able to come over yet possibly.... I do have to ask everyone this....

How many games have over 800 unique individual models?

 

It’s a fair point, and one they sort of address by saying they can do a lot of new things to the Pokemon animations and clean up which is why they made the decision etc, which I genuinely understand. But their tag line is “gotta catch’em all”, so... it’s weird that you can’t.

I do think they’ll add them all in post, tbh. Otherwise their competitive scene is a bit messed up (unless they’ve gone out of their way to include every popular one)

 

I’m hoping for a post game National Dex or whichever way they fix this crap.
