Banjo and Kazooie being in it is AWESOME! Loved the reveal trailer that riffs on the K. Rool reveal :lol

Well, there's still two more to go, as I recall. Personally I'd prefer Patricia Wagon, but Shantae would be the obvious Wayforward frontrunner.

Wow, the Hero is Erdrick, Luminary and a few others rolled into one. I don't recall that ever being in leaks.

And Banjo is most definitely a long-awaited welcome. Now I just hope those Rare Spirits from the datamine show up! I want to see the Jet Force Gemini ones!

So excited to see the Dragon Quest Hero characters being in Smash~! Especially the ones from III, IV and VIII. Not sure which of those three I prefer at this point.

Haven't played any of the source games here, but the sword fighting dudes look nifty.

Just saying, if they come back to Microsoft who you think will be next? I dunno, but tell that to that Covenant.

Still say we need Subzero or Scorpion as a fighter.

I'd like Shantae too, but at this point, I'm under full believe that Spirits deconfirm future fighters. Also 100% that the Fighters pass is strictly 3RD party.
Y U mad? Were you a Sora or Steve Believer?

Yes! Please! Scorpion deserves it more as he's the poster boy, although Sub-Zero appeared in more games than Scorpion.
Plus Nintendo and WB/Midway are cool with each other.

    Crash and Master Chief too.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero can be Echo Fighters of Each other, y'know. So you can have both considering their origins. Especially that they could use their Classic looks. And yes, Noob Saibot would be an alt for Sub-Zero.

Though Crash and Spyro are quite tempting too.

No, I was irrationally hoping for more classic NES characters. Maybe some of the sword fighter dudes were from the NES, but I never played any of those games as a kid.

Not sure about echos as not only do they differ heavily, Scorpion is based more around his fire, sword and spear, while Sub-Zero is more about his freezing abilities, zoning, and freezing his opponent to get a free hit.

That's like making Shadow a echo of Sonic. Same abilities yes, but Shadow has potential as his own character.

At first, when I was watching the Hero's trailer, I was wondering who would ride into battle on a horse. :lol  The minute I saw the outline, I knew who DLC Fighter #2. I did NOT expect them to be several versions like with Robin and Bowser Jr.

Also, I'm surprised that announcement featured a World if Light spoiler.

As for Banjo-Kazooie, I got spoiled on their inclusion because I wanted to find the Hero's trailer and saw the image from a Gamexplain video. And their inclusion is very much welcomed. Hopefully, this means their games are coming to the Switch down the road.

Don't really care for either new fighter, but then besides Master Chief for the humour there isn't anyone I really want in personally so not bothered by it.

To be honest I don't care about The Hero.
It's another anime sword wielding male.
    I don't care.

Finally, some DLC that I actually give a damn about. The fact that the Banjo-Kazooie trailer was shamelessly duplicating the K. Rool teaser except this time K. Rool was inside the house this time was a master stroke. Spiral Mountain also appears to be an absolutely stunning stage, instead of...well, the Sonic Generations esque thing that is the Persona 5 stage.

Dragon Quest 'The Hero' is also neat but...really? ANOTHER fantasy swordsman in a game with Link, Young Link, Toon Link, Marth, Roy, and several others I can't remember the names of because I haven't actually booted the game up in forever? Though the fact he has four variants does add variety I'll admit.

To be perfectly honest, what even is there to spoil with World of Light? There's no story. Galeem comes in, wrecks everybody's shit, Kirby survives and saves half the cast to kick Galeem's ass at which point Dharkon pops out of the Devil's Anus (Ragnarok, anyone?) with a better soundtrack and sprawling world design because everything isn't nice this time around, you kick Dharkon's ass, and then the third stage is just some kind of tacked on final battle between the two of them where the only worthwhile thing to happen (you play as Master Hand at long last) happens and you kill both of those giant glowing eyeballs and...a giant pillar of souls shoots into the sky and there is no context to literally any of this. Galeem and Dharkon aren't really even characters so much as plot devices as merely things for people to fight, there's no disclosure of motive or where the hell either of those guys came from, and all the endings suck.

On a brighter note, I'd fucking kill for a remastered version of Banjo-Kazooie (even better if it was a dual-cartridge deal with a remastered Banjo-Twooie). Just have the exact same game with some new twists maybe, but update the graphics.

Honestly more interested in the Hero than Banjo. Been so into the old Dragon Quest games lately~

I'm hoping we get the female versions of the Dragon Quest III and IV heroes for alternate costumes.
