For a while now, several "Leakers" have been claiming that one of the 5 DLC characters is another Square Enix rep. This in itself is hard to narrow with insiders because SE is EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH LEAKS to the point that they purposefully have trap leaks to try and fire leakers.

Out of the possible 7 Vergeben's list (Cronos from Chrono Trigger, Sephiroth, Sora, Geno, Slime, Luminary or Erdrik from Dragon Quest) He's really placing his bets on Erdrik, while saying that the Dragon Quest reps, Crono and Sephiroth being more likely were left. A few other leakers before Vergeben's list also agree with a DQ rep. Afterwards, everyone and their granny is leaking Erdrik.

On top of that, the leaked codenames for a few of the DLC include "Brave" which is speculated to be Erdrik considering that's what him names means or something.

Honestly, I can see it with Erdrik because DQ is huge in the East, and and a bunch of minor details. One think I don't really think is true is the Codenames, since "Jack" was Joker and "Packu" was Piranha Plant, I'm on the side that the Codenames simply share the first letter with the respective fighter.

That's what I got....just remember to keep your hopes low, like I do. can't expect anything in this timeline to be real.

Mine are Meta Knight, Kirby, Mr.Game and Watch, Lucario, Greninja, Snake, Dedede, Olimar, Roy Koopa and really getting into Ridley, incineroar and K. Rool.

it's going to be the one....the only....SON GOKU!!!!!!!

 

My #1 choice would probably be Arthur from Ghosts 'N Goblins. But after that, Billy/Jimmy Lee from Double Dragon, Bill/Lance from Contra, or Ryu from Ninja Gaiden. I love Smash Bros for many reasons, but without those classic NES characters, I wouldn't have much use for it. Would also love to see another Street Fighter (Chun Li or Vega would be cool), a Mega Man 1 or 2 villain, or something out of left field like the Ice Hockey guys or Bubble Bobble. If it's an iconic, more modern character like Goku, Master Chief, or someone from King of Fighters, I would also be pretty psyched. But chances are it will be someone I don't have any use for like Joker.

I would also go for Tetris block, Asteroid ship, or ostrich from Joust.

Personally I'm more excited for the DQ Heroes than I am for Banjo and Kazooie. Mind you that's because Dragon Quest used to be my favorite video game series of all time whereas I've had no attachment to Banjo-Kazooie whatsoever. Absolutely loved Banjo and Kazooie's trailer though.
