Well i know i really don't have room but i MAKE room no matter the cost. Just move a computer tower over here and there and that does it "voila" space made. Just how I'm going to do it. I have Castle Greyskull from back when it was offered and now i will have my Snake Mountain to complete it. My collection of He-man figures and what not are complete.

I will be MAKING room by purging some more things I can easily do without. Starting with the wife! Here are the divorce papers, dear! Just kidding, of course! LOL! :D  Seriously, I do plan on some spring & summer cleaning. Even if I did not preorder SM, I intend to do this because I feel like I am over-whelmed with stuff. It becomes less of a collection display and more of just a cluster of stuff to me if there's too much going on. Castle Grayskull is a great "anchor" piece for the good guys & Snake Mountain will do just as well for the baddies. SM is big, but it's the same length as that SW Sail Barge. People found a way to display that in their rooms, so why not SM if you can swing it and afford it.

Yeah, the prices are insane for those that you listed. I’m only willing to pay those prices for selected figures. Thankfully, I managed to have all that I wanted but I’m saddled with deadwood like the Star Sisters etc. Blah humbug!

IMO if you have Castle Grayskull, that’s sufficient as it’s more iconic.

For me personally, I have to start unboxing most of my collection now as Snake Mountain will be kept in the store room...only to be taken out during the holidays for my kids to play.

I've had a little bit of a lucky steak going on with Trapjaws lately, just got this guy in. Been searching for a decent price on him and got a good deal so I jumped!
He is awesome! One if the best Classics figures!

I may have missed it, but I recall the movie figures will be shipping fairly soon, do we have a more precise window then that?

Trapjaw is probably my favorite Masters of the Universe character, and the Classics figure is a fantastic representation. One of my favorite figures of all of the MOTU Classics.

You're right. I remember Brian Flynn saying that they would be shipping a lot sooner after the preorders ended because they deliberately waited until they were a lot further along in the production process before even showing the figures, this time. I don’t remember if he gave an exact time frame though or if he said something along the lines of a couple months later. Past assortments have ended up getting pushed back a little too. I don’t know if that will happen this time or not though, since they were further along into the production. I’m guessing we’ll get an update from Super7 pretty soon.

Now that I have Snake Mountain paid.... I have to say there is still one more ICONIC MOTU piece that needs to happen.... The Slime Pit. I have to have a Slime Pit. Anyone else feel this is essential?

Don't know about the Slime Pit, but I could definently make an arguement for a Fright Zone playset. We've got Castle Grayskull to display The Masters on and now Snake Mountain to display Skeletor and his minions... just need an updated Fright Zone for The Horde.

Yeah I like the Fright-Zone too would definitely buy. I think the Slime-Pit is sort of a quintessential MOTU toy though. The Horsemen sculpting the Skull? 80’s Slime? S7 is already packs in Slime... they could keep this reasonable.

True... it's small enough that it wouldn't be insanely expensive if they wanted to make one. Your also right in that it is kind of quintessential when people think of the playsets in the original toyline.

According to a recent interview with ToyGuru, the Slime Pit was originally going to happen before Snake Mountain,
back when Matty Collector was still doing the Classics line. It would be cool if Super 7 end up making one. Definitely one of the most memorable playsets from the old line.

Hey,...did any one get a email from super7 about Snake Mnt just saying basically that thanks to us it's going to happen. I think as well they said they would keep us updated with info and details. Then the blue pen drawn of snake mnt and the actual prototype of it from super7 store. Let me know if anyone got the same thing as i did. Yes both the playsets you guys talking about would be really cool if it was released after snake mnt.

I don’t have the interview in front of me anymore, but I think I remember ToyGuru saying that the original plan for the Slime Pit was to make it so it would connect to the Fright Zone. This makes me think the original plan at least was to make the Classics Fright Zone very toy-inspired. I think if Super7 were ever to tackle it, they’d probably have to go the same direction, as a Filmation-inspired Fright Zone would have to be massive.

Could you really do anything Filmation inspired besides the Hordak's throne room? The rest of the Fright Zone in Filmation was just a bunch of techno structures seen from the outside and a few hallways here and there. Maybe a chamber to drain He-Man's energy like in the film? Honestly, it'd either be massive or just a weird mishmash of areas seen in the show.

Yeah, I can’t really see a practical way of doing the Filmation version, and have it be to the same scale as the figures.

Dude, I normally agree with most of your posts but FRIGHT ZONE is the 3rd most important playset in the MOTU universe...at least to me.

However, I can see why the Slime Pit is essential for some...it was such a cool playset and one of the first to use slime as a gimmick and a play feature!

That being said, Snake Mountain is my last playset and I’m targeting Filmation Leech (if he’s announced).

I slimed one of my Ninja Turtles once back in the day... it took me FOREVER to clean the slime off. That was also the last time I ever slimed any figure I had.

Same for me with my only Ghostbusters figure at the time. I poured that Purple Ectoplasm crap over my Fright Features Winston to emulate the commercials, and eight year old me immediately regretted what a dumb idea "sliming" my toy was. There's an oily feel you never quite get rid of. Never played with "slime" again.

Funny, I was never aware of the Firght Zone playset as a kid. I think it was after my time (had probably moved on to Transformers by then). I just Googled it and it doesn't look familiar. However, I think it looks pretty cool! I would be up for a modern version; it's kind of a glorified multi-tiered display-base, and I like that it has a "model scenery" feel to it. I also appreciate the fact that it looks like it would be a lot smaller and cheaper than Snake Mountain. I don't think I can rationalize another Snake-Mountain-scale MOTUC purchase.

I agree, though, that the Slim Pit is a must-have as well. I DO remember that one from childhood, and a modern version would be terrific. Again, I like that it's a nice smaller, standalone bit of environment, with cool details. If we ever get one, I plan to fill it up with some of those slime-green M.O.T.U.S.C.L.E.S., and have Zombie He-Man emerging from it. :p

After that, the only things I'd want from this line are a few vehicles. The Attak Trak would be nice (would probably prefer a toy version to a Filmation version). I might be alone in this... but I also really, really want the Road Ripper, and am surprised it hasn't happened yet given that it would be a fairly small and affordable vehicle choice. It woudl also be great to get the Landshark, though that seems like a long shot. After that, about all I could think of would be the Battle Bones or Clawdeen.

Speaking of Battle Bones, what are people's thoughts on those SDCC sets that were announced? I can't tell whether the Mega Construx Battle Bones is an SDCC exclusive or will just debut there. Either way I'm going to try to get it. But as for that Adam/He-Man 2-pack.... I'm passing, I think. It looks like a completely new body sculpt, totally different from the MOTU versions, and bulkier. If that's the start of a new MOTU line from Mattel, I think this will be a good exit ramp for me. I've thoroughly enjoyed MOTUC over the years, but aside from the stuff mentioned above I'm pretty ready for it to be done. I just want it to have a definitive, clear-cut end point.
