Yeah, the game itself looks like it could be fun, but those character designs are terrible.

It's not the MCU Avengers (obviously), but it's like they also wanted to ape off of the popularity of the MCU Avengers -- and that's only hurting them in comparison. Like, why did they feel the need to keep the roster of the first Marvel's Avengers movie (minus Hawk Eye)? They could have switched it up a bit more.

 

I'll hold off judgment until i see some gameplay footage. So far i am feeling rather meh about the reveal.

I don’t even mind them being MCU influenced, to be honest. It’s just that they miss the mark so hard. The faces don’t look anything like the characters, which is amazing seeing as these are originally drawn comic book lines that have been interpreted in many different ways by many different artists over the years.   It’s like they took all the heroes through some filter that created generic estimations of ‘caucasian male’ and ‘caucasian female’ based on a million pictures or something.

Cap’s suit also brings back bad memories of that one time Ultimate Cap wore that really dinky square-y suit. And now that I think about it, it brings back bad memories of post-Ultimates 2 of that universe in general, so thanks Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics!  

 

Looks shitty. Deus Ex died for nothing.

 

Live action is the only place where the Ultimate Captain America design has kinda worked. It looks like ass in every video game it's ever been in, especially MvC Infinite and now this game.

From the gameplay I hear, that's my biggest problem. Apparently the gameplay isn't that great. Most of them play the same except for an L2 and R2 attack that's a special for each.

 

Cap looks like he forgot his suit and stole a vest from a SWAT Police  

 

Deus Ex died the instant Mankind Divided was carved up prior to release. And it was a crap game anyway.

 

Even the awful mobile Deus ex game showed gameplay. And screw you, I loved mankind divided.

Yeah, that image of Black Widow looks like an significant improvement.

The gameplay is pretty decent to me. Seems rather linear, but this only the opening level after all, hopefully it’ll get more open as the game continues.

And I’ll say it again, the faces do look better. Widow is a clear indicator.

 

Gameplay looks nice, now that they’ve y’know, actually showed some officially. The overall look definitely improved between the trailer at E3 (or whichever event).

I actually recently watched a lot of YouTube videos on this game, and it appears that the creative team is heavily focusing on promoting their unique story, which leaves people worried about gameplay since they’re not commenting on it much.

This game comes out the day after my birthday, so I think I’ll ask for it as a gift.
