He's probably referring to the Furai Model Primes which are a bit skinnier

In on the large G1 Optimus. They better make an equivalent G1 Megatron

    Lol I get you now.
It’s just a large scale model. It’s not actually being made that big.

My apologies. Although I saw it a mile away. I agree it’d be cool to have it big.

I wasn't paying attention to the release date in the first place, so it might as well be early, as far as I'm concerned.

Is there a name for the series of really stylised ones? the hip thrusting ones I mean. (Prime, Starscream, Devastator) I'm feeling them a lot. I might wait to see if a relevant megs comes out before getting involved

They don’t have a specific grouping but they’re, mostly, designed by Akira Amemiya. There was a Megatron sketched by the same guy who designed the Windblade but it might be a bit too different in style. I personally think it’s pretty great and would work well.

The Megatron wasn't real. The designer of the Windblade one did Megatron because of complaints that Windblade was too sexy. So he did a sexy Megatron. IDW Megatron is getting a model.

I know. I just thought I’d mention it. That’s why I said sketched and not properly designed.

I also love how he’s got the little belly buttons in the centre of his chest. It’d look so great next to Prime.

Akira Amemiya is a notable figure in the anime world. He is a director for Studio TRIGGER. Responsible for works like Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill and recently SSSS Gridman. In fact the super stylised Optimus and Starscream really capture TRIGGER's wild and dynamic style of mecha design.

I know right? I was surprised when I heard it was TRIGGER designers making the models but then it was really cool find out Amemiya designed them. Makes me want a TRIGGER Transformers anime even more now with these designs.
