The wings do in fact make a weapon, but not a very good one. It's really not a "Z" let alone a sword, and doesn't look at all like the anime version where this one does.

 

I'm really glad 3P companies are making every possible custom part for Dai Atlas except a new waist. Who cares if he's super wobbly at the waist?

Well, Takara says that this is the Z-Sword, so it is the Z-Sword.

 

That's all well and good, but it still doesn't look the part, hence why someone is making one that actually does.

 

Curious what the final colors will be, unless this silver is it vs the anime....

 

That depends on what perspective you adhere to. From the perspective of G1 figure accuracy, then it does look the part. One can say that CW fighter-jet Blast Off doesn't "look the part" from the perspective of most G1 continuities and G1 figures, but he was fighter-jet-ish in IDW comics, so he "looked the part" there. CW Computron doesn't "look the part" if you look at most G1 fiction and comparing him to his G1 figure, but he does somewhat "look the part" in the Combiner Wars cartoon, at least where the face is concerned.

 

OK, so then maybe be happy with what you have already and don't purchase this add-on?

Up until a while back I was really distracted by LG Dai Atlas's hollow legs. Now that's sorted thanks to the SL leg fillers, I think I'd like the Z-Sword as well to complete the classic 'Dai Atlas' look.

Release date and full price is unknown yet, but we believe it would be in 1-2 months, anyway still we start to do a Pre-order for this Z-sword first, lowest price guaranteed. If you have dealt with us before ( Some upgrade kits for Siege and etc.) you would know that.

 

Would you know if it's going to be painted or released in that silver?

Their printing material is actually white, but it's a frosty-looking white, you can see the exposed plastic on their siege soundwave parts Shockwave Lab SL-51 Upgrade Kit for Siege Voyager Soundwave

 

I could deal with "frosty white", but not silver for this sword.

For the Soundwave parts, the fact that it wasn't blue turned me off from it.

 

I do wonder if u can order unpainted versions, then maybe paint it yourself. They are 3D printed after all.
