They just reissued Skycrusher with the new head. They've been busy doing retools and repaints of their Reserved Soldier too.

Your right on impossible toys. MMC Absorbed Mech Ideas, Yes, SXS comes and go, they dropped there Gears and Swerve, took a year or two off and just dropped there IDW Rodimus. GCreation is M.I.A, I've never heard of Mega Steel, Omnigonix barely got out Sunstreaker before dying.

Mega Steel made a CHUG-style Blaster and an IDW Megatron, dunno if they made anything else.

Cloud 9, who made a successful highly-retooled semi-KO of FT Shockwave, doesn’t seem to have made any follow-up figures.

Voodoo made an Ironhide and Ratchet, and stopped after that.

I have all three of these MP-scaled figures. While the Voodoo bots have some issues with their materials and clearances, I just love their sculpts so much.

Yeah I don’t know if I agree with him on that. Downbeat was a major success. Gundog sold out. Despotron was a success and at least their first 3 seekers were popular. Striker Manus seemed to be pretty successful as well. And in the day their combiners were very popular.

I admit I’m a bit of a fanboy, I have Despotron and Gundog. They are both excellent. I hope they keep putting out good stuff.

same reason people buy effect parts for figures. This lets you make it look like someone squished the bot.

Yeah, Go check it's thread out. It's plastic junk.
I agree, they make great stuff, I just think X-D was a bit less with Buster jetwing. They are also suffering from-

    Seeker Shenanigans!

Where they have all the first three, the coneheads, crowdfunded rainmakers and they go crazy and lose so touch. I don't think it will kill them like Impossible toys or Igear, but it will slow them down.

Also, the whole web maketoys belongs to is faltering.

They are connected to Fanshobby, Fansproject, and Maas toys (same factory).

Which are in different states of, Alive, Convention exclusive company, and Dead.

It is kind of sad. Maketoys has increased the price due to production quantity and nigche market factors but their Buster Skywing did see a 10% off now.

I do want to have Cross Dimension as an independent line and to do so all they really need are some Datsun and Seeker moulds as soldiers and maybe make a Soundwave and Ironhide.

They are great, but have to be patient with them. They do believe in the strength of their brand but their MTRM brand is competing with Takara in terms of toon accuracy.

They could easily reissue Thunder Manus to make some money but maybe it is not worth it to them. At the same time, Yes Model and Striker Manus has been KOed.

Another thread about missing, or inactive 3p companies.

Idk, I just feel the topic has been discussed to death. Reviewers have also talked about it.

I've barely seen it pop up outside of 1 or 2 threads asking about a specific company. seems nice to have a single thread to focus on the topic.

If that Galvatron scaled with MP’s I’d be all over it. I know it won’t but the mold is awesome.

I’m not following the logic here. How exactly does making Seekers kill a company?
If making redecos and remolds kills companies, why do so many of them do it... and not die?
Following this logic, Has/Tak should have died years ago, what with all the redecos and remolds they sell.

Perhaps, and I’m just speculating here, Impossible Toys and iGear might have made figures that were too low quality for the price they were asking for....?
