Nope, I didn't. Should I have done so? My seller was The Chosen Prime, but they don't do refunds for figures you broke, right?

Can't hurt to try. Especially when the breakage was done just by following the instructions.

I'm giving Xtb the benefit of doubt, in case not every copy is affected.

"Thread. First off thank you to everyone who's been collecting the Berserkars and other @xtransbots figures. So apparently Overheat has had some issues. Speaking to retailer about 5% of the figures are affected.

The middle of the front wing is too tight on a some figures and is breaking instead of moving and in some left shoulders there'a break that occurs when rotating the front tires into place. These issues were not present during the pre-production phase.

I know this is a pain in the ass and I'm really sorry for anyone who spent money on these and got a defective one. @xtransbots is aware of the problem and are working with the factory to rectify all who where affected.

If you were unfortunate enough to get one of these or know someone who has please take a photo and email it to [email protected] and they'll take care of you. Again, I'm sorry to those affected and hopefully at least the headache will be minimized."

So it sounds like XTB will be standing by their product and getting those of us who had issues sorted. FWIW I think TCP would have taken care of us anyway but good to hear Keith will be fixing this issue.

Yes, absolutely. First off, XTB are known for pretty good customer service. Not perfect, but I think that if they don't reply you just have to write them again. This worked for me, though I actually never needed to get in touch with them. This will also allow them to see the scale of the problem. Contacting the sellers is also a good idea - maybe they won't give you a full refund, but I'm guessing that these retailers are close enough to the community to try and help out - if not, its always a good idea to let people know. Some retailers won't reimburse you, but will help you get a spare part, sometimes for free (I had this with BBTS), others for a small price or just for the cost of shipping.

Try getting in touch with TCP/XTB ASAP, perhaps they'll offer you a cheaper solution (unless you're ok with the one you chose ofc.)

it's always a good idea to write the maker, if nothing more than to have it on record there is an issue, if things break and no one contacts the builder then they will think everything is good and keep making it that way.

Yeah they do but neither of them did it for XTB Crackup. As I mentioned in my post, Paik is the only one anywhere who did it for Crackup. Paik consistently does it for most Takara and 3P MP releases. Optibotimus used to do it but has scaled back in reviewing MPs over the last couple of years.

The colors on Flipout's chair would fit G2 Crackup nicely.

Still no movement on Deathwish for me. I think for some reason there was a shortage to many vendors. I hope this isn't a thing where they have to make another factory run which will take months.

Deathwish has some fragile paint. Put the dry rub on and went to peel the film off and my finger nail scratched the black off with extremely minimal pressure. IMG_20190609_141731.jpg

Is there a easy way to get under the headlights for Deathwish? I’m not going to use the light up feature and I want to apply a chrome sticker on the light hole. The hollowness of the headlights bug me.

I wonder when TFDirect will get some boxes of Deathwish to send to people who pre-ordered months in advance thinking they would receive the figure when it came out, not weeks after the fact, while the rest of the collecting community gleefully posts glorious photos of their new figures (and some not-so-glorious photos of them breaking immediately). Oh well, I hope Agabyss and Toydojo understand they will be absolutely inundated with pre-orders for Gravestone. Congratulations to all who have received their figures, and are happy with them.

Just contact TF-Direct to find out when they will get their stock in.

Who is your seller? Did you try contacting them to get the status?

Oh yeah I contacted them, TFD says they will get Deathwish in mid-June then ship it out. I have Overheat ordered from TerryTFS club where I pre-ordered a very long time ago, and that should arrive on my doorstep next week. Then also I ordered Overheat from an ebay seller who had it in stock right away, and that should show up next week as well. But Deathwish is a long way out.

Anyone else with Deathwish notice his waist-joint, where the upper plugs into the lower half, seems to wiggle slightly side-to-side? Is it because that plug is slightly soft plastic? Or just my copy?

He told me this morning that I should request a refund because he didn't have the stock available... which is it?

I'm far more worried about my Deathwish's chest paint being all janky than I am about overheat breaking in transformation. Baba shipped both for me last monday which means I probably have at least a month more to wait before I can see what I'm getting.

After shaving down the shoulders and the butt flap, I'm happy with Overheat. Deathwish was fine.

    Bring on Gravstone!
