Got him today from Robot Kingdom. Amazing figure. I've handled far worse finicky figures than this. His presence on the shelf is awesome.

100% worth it for that price, very dynamic figure.

I just picked up Arashi, too, from that deal. (Along with a $40 TFC Ironhide and a $140 Planet X Blue Omega Supreme)

Amazing deals. I love these figures. I just wished there were fewer teeny-tiny plastic bars that have to slide. I treat this thing as one of my most delicate figures.

Cool. I'm glad you can overlook some fiddlyness to get to the amazing figure.
I love mine and I do not treat it with kid gloves any more than any other MP. Takes a little more effort to pose than most, but man does it pay off.

I ended up getting DS-01 awhile back after I got DS-02... pleasantly surprised that its joints are tighter than Arashi's. And his turret doesn't fall off at the slightest of touches!

Not sure if everyone knows this, but the turret actually pegs in solidly only one way. If it's loose, you might have it pegged in backwards.

Regardless, just took mine out to play with again. Absolutely phenomenal figure. Can't believe I got him more than two years ago. The only things to break are the couple of tabs on his back that don't do anything for alt-mode stability anyways. Reposting some pictures just for fun:

Huh, will definitely have a look at the position of the slot on my guy tonight.

Which version of Drift is that and what’s the stand you used in the last full size photo?

Generations Drift and possibly a NECA clear stand with the Tamashi Stage Acts Arm.

    How did it go?

The Drift is actually the United version of Generations Drift, which actually has a much brighter white plastic and more paint apps. The stand is a customizable 1/6 Obitsu doll stand that I use for random figures. They're really cheap and can even be configured into flight stands for jetformers, etc...

Great set of pics! When I first saw this guy, I was really excited about him. His overall reception has been lackluster and that stopped me from getting him.

Unfortunately, the turret was correctly pegged in and still a hot mess for me. And thanks for the info on Drift and the stand. Will be on the look out for both.

Both Susanoo and Arashi look pretty sweet in person and as you can see from Actar's photos, the articulation and poses you can get are amazing.

On the cons, they are finicky and Arashi for myself is an absolute pain. I did get him first and then still decided to get Susanoo. So that's something I guess.

Oof, the one thing I remember hating about this figure are the super-tight leg joints. Each time I move them, they really feel like they're about to break. (>.<) Anyone else have this issue?

SUSANOO is getting a re-issue in the form of a version with weathering and improvements from the V2 SUSANOO.
    Announced on their FB: DNA Design 67163334_2385049818450193_8865563796098252800_o.jpg 67258736_2385049925116849_2193106353986207744_o.jpg 67308073_2385049898450185_8705199561330655232_o.jpg 67341839_2385050358450139_3793528000176193536_n.jpg 67466061_2385050368450138_7887365207519920128_o.jpg

If I had to guess, tolerances, etc. I think Arashi had some kind of improvements with the shoulders, but I can't remember what exactly.

Anywho, the weathering looks great, but not double-dipping. Still have and am happy with my original release.
