Overall I think Hasbro does a great job, but in the short time I've been collecting/lurking, it feels like the quality (not the QC per se, but rather the... effort? That isn't the right word, either. Maybe it's just the 'wow' factor) goes down as a given line progresses.

*shrugs* Maybe it's just in my head.

 

I prefer to think of the camera mode as a giant canon, some kind of massive weapon.

Starscream or Soundwave are both great starters, I never get tired of them.

 

I feel like Titans Return and Studio Series have both gone UP in quality as they progressed: Titans Return started off kind of ‘meh’ with rather simple transformations and slightly underpainted figures, but steadily improved as the line went on. And the first wave of Studio Series was plagued by QC issues but I haven’t had a single issue with a figure after wave 1.

It’s just that, well, not to sound like a broken record, but Prowl’s legs really put me off from him, I can at least tolerate the soap-mode, but those frighteningly thin shins really worry me. Being translucent plastic certainly doesn’t help. Headsculpts as a whole have been improving since Combined Wars, compared to earlier CHUG figures facial features are much more ‘crisp’. I still need Prowl, but I’m going to hold off until he goes on sale. I have learned to be patient and it has paid off many times.  

 

Refraktor is rapidly looking like maybe the coolest figure yet if you count 3 as 1. The alt modes are phenomenal and the bot colors and design is aces. Definitely worth $60 imo

Not one bad one yet, and all are what I’d say at least “ good”. Ironhide is awesome for the $20, ultra magnus and shockwave are awesome. Hound is great. I mean, I honestly would say any and all

 

Be wary with Ultra Magnus though, I just picked him up last night and his hips are so loose he almost does the splits just sitting there. And yet, his arms and cab are so tight I was afraid I was going to break him.

 

and then at wave 3 they started using stickers for anything above deluxe and after wave 1 they stopped painting the titanmasters

 

WFC-SIEGE is an amazing line, figures are all very well made, alot of possible combinations

 

He does have bad knees, though as a person with bad knees I empathize. I was going to pass on him for the same reasons and buy the MP, but bought him on a whim and love the figure. There are some poses his knees can't hold up, but even weaponized he holds most poses I put him in with a bit of careful balancing. May still pick the MP up someday, but the head sculpts in Siege are just on another level. Anyways, they say the more you try to push someone into doing something, the less they want to do it, so, uh, that's the end of my spiel.
