That’s an animation model reference. The back wheels appear to have hinges and so fold up and store inside the shins. The stubs are the rear wheels on the model.

    Is this articulation or dis-articulation!?!
How can TT show that as a sell shot??

Pre-ordered from AJ. Product page says ¥14,677 but when I placed the order it says ¥13,590. I'm not complaining but still wondering where the discount came from?

They are removing the 8% tax, since you aren't from Japan.

It's cool to have a butterfly shoulder joint, but with Hound's design it only looks good from certain angles. We know they take loads of photos of these MPs in their photoshoots (just based on the 30 plus we saw for 18+), so I imagine they may have tried this same pose from a slightly different angle.
At first glance it's showing off his ability to bend on one knee, touch a human's shoulder and also showing Spike standing up next to Hound's bot mode. It 'checks' certain boxes they need to show off, even if it's not the best pose.

Still, compared to certain recent photoshoots (36+ springs to mind) they're a lot more inspired and successful with Hound's one. Nice to see a return to form.

I understand what you mean, but I maintain my argument that TT using these "only good from certain angles" shots is a poor advertising decision. Same with some of the recent MP Bumblebee pictures...

The shot was more to show off his articulation, more then a picture perfect pose. They've been doing it a lot lately emphasizing extreme positions. So while visually it's awkward, its advertising what they want advertised in that shot.

    Exactly.

Hell, some of my other toys (Bandai figures, Neca, Hot toys) cant even achieve half the poses of the newer MP's!

    And they don't even transform!!!!!

If that alone does not make you appreciate what TT is going for here, then you are hard to please.

Mind-blowing stuff by the geniuses at TT being done here.

Just realized the leg transform reminds me of the vans (I love transforming the vans).

Same. They're just so satisfying to flip back and forth. I especially love the final fold down of the roof into vehicle mode. Everything just locks together so well.

Yeah I think some of the shots could definitely be done better (like MP-44 wielding his axe should definitely have been taken from a lower angle) but whoever's posing the figures isn't a professional 'poser', so they're not doing too bad a job. They need to start hiring some of us instead!

That's one of the things that puts me off Hot Toys. I want those extreme poses!

    oh man! He looks amazing!

yeah Japan tax has increased from 8% to 10% now

Ordered from AJ as well - shipping is pretty cheap! Can't wait to recreate the scene and pose them with Prime, Streaker and Hound - "Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost"

I can't really afford to buy many of the G1 releases, I just really grew up with beast wars, but this looks amazing so I pre-ordered at AJ. They've always been good for me. This thing is stunning.

Or some of us just don’t do 3rd party because some of us don’t find most of them appealing enough to pay for it? Stop forcing your opinions on others. I’m far from narrow minded for not buying 3rd party.

And some of us don’t buy KOs because we recognize that in the long run supporting the KO market will help cancel the masterpiece line. Imo.

While I don't support KO's, the OP's tone didn't seem like he was forcing his opinion on anyone
