Glad you found one of your preciousss.

Is that "555" a reference to something? Kamen Rider Faiz (555)? Five Star Stories?

Yer' guess is as good as mine, if not better... it's been a kollector's dream to convince a koking to part with basically a 1-off ko gundam g1 sideswipe in g3 colors.

It's such an anomaly, that I couldn't pass it up.

I've heard from a pretty reliable inside source that WJ doesn't intent to go back to the CW well. Which I agree is a tragedy, especially given 2/5 of a Stunticon team exists. But here we are.

I'm just glad they more-or-less finished the headmasters!

I wonder if some of these oversized micromasters are original designs.

me too, i had the os version for awhile, but just like the recent devastator downscale, i prefer combiners in a size close to cw combiners. right now only my liokaiser (tfc hades) is bigger, but he is not with the other combiners, hes with my planet x ismenios

MP10v is a remarkable figure. I was just handling mine the other day. I'm still amazed that they were able to scale down MP10 without making the tranformation any more tedious. MP figures have gotten quite intricate, so I question whether more recent designs would fare as well.

It's a shame that KBB never really followed up MP10v with something similar. I guess they're mostly more occupied with Bayformers-inspired stuff now.

Sad news. I understand them wanting to "grow as a company" and all that, but there are certain simple, affordable up-scaling projects (done well) that really won them the love of the fandom. It would be nice if they kept some imprint or related company producing that sort of thing. Especially after only (barely) finishing one combiner, it feels like a Menasor (or a Bruticus) would be really appreciated.

Good quality oversized main-line Transformers is something I'm not sure I can live without anymore! :lol

    Downscale, now? Why not?

Yeah, that's cool. At the same time, I was recently looking around my collection room, at my 5 Devastators, and my soon-to-be 4 Predakings. I remember when I got back into collecting around 2004. This kind of G1 accuracy... fully functioning giant combiners... it was all idle fantasy, not reality. What strange, wonderful days we live in now...

Devy I like at the Titan scale because it's a wee physical nod to his stature as the first canon combiner but being heavily into UK comics the Preds were the Dinos Nemeses/Nemesi? and that'd be ideal for an evenly-matched Volcanicus (REX!) Vs. Predders.

Depending on how well the combined mode is I may end up offloading my Jinbao set for these guys.

It's good to have options! Devastator and Predaking always seemed to me like they should be bigger than the other combiners, except maybe Superion, but it's pretty obvious why people want them to be the same size as the others. Then there are the legends-scaled collections that are getting more popular. It's pretty awesome that we're getting good options for everyone with a lot of these characters.
