Put in my preorder for two MP-47 Hounds on Amazon.co.jp. I'm sure the price will go down a bit before long.

 

I also pre-ordered through Amazon Japan. First figure I'll get from there in a couple of years. At least a $20 discount from BBTS is hard to pass up. Be nice if the price drops further, though.

I’m so loving this! And @Liampope was right about the door not swinging outward. The part with the gas cap is attached by a pin at the joint and swings in behind the door and then the door swings in to form part of the back. Totally frees the legs from that point. Making a JEEP turn into a cartoon character is no easy feet or feat.

There’s a pun hiding in there somewhere.

Edit: Just noticed the seams in the rear wheels. The leg/feet transformation seems to be genius.

 

Ah yes, the accessory box of untouched stuff that came with my toys. The soft top will 100% go in there and never see the light of day again too.

Maybe I’ll do a photo shoot of all the pack-in humans? They’ll have to do a new Raul and a Sparkplug soon.

It's $132 for preorder on most JP sites right now that ship to the US. Bar the fact that Road King is $180 and can't be compared to this (a more apt comparison would be their Rodimus, Kup, or Arcee). $132 for a figure in the highest quality official TF line is not bad at all. Why would anyone boycott it? If you don't like it, good news, third party companies exist or just don't buy it.

 

The shoulders becoming the engine is genius.

 

Gah, $140 shipped? I was really hoping for $20+ dollars less than that. This game is getting a little rich for my blood, but I've been hoping for a perfect representation of Hound ever since I cracked open MP Prowl, and this guy looks outstanding to me. Maybe I should try and sell my Willis to offset the cost.

Missed most of the hoopla earlier today but just chiming to say: FINALLY! It's been a year (!?!?!?!?) since we learned about Hound and we finally have a real update! The alt mod pics look great, but still waiting to see how his alt-mode scales with the other MPs. Maybe it's just me, but I'm also curious to have a closer look at his dash. Looks like it's pretty detailed, but still curious about how detailed the dash is and a better look at the bot-mode from the back. The key hook on his hip looks great (who called out that it might be integrated a few days ago? Well done!). I know not everyone appreciates the extra accessory that'll probably stay in the box, but I love love love the added cloth top. I'll probably mess with that a couple of times and then relegate it to the storage bin, but I really love real-world details like that and, after all, it was used in the 'toon a couple of times! My dad has had a couple of Jeeps over the years and seeing real-world details like that really makes me happy. The steering arm under the front bumper is another detail I really appreciate! I am curious where they came up with the design for the rims though... I would have expected a more plain design, like these:



The rims used seem more reminiscent of Binaltech maybe? Not complaining, and it all looks good! Just curious.

Really can't wait to add Hound to my MP shelf!

 

It always makes me laugh that for all of Megatron's boasting, he can't even say Prime's name correctly.  
Plime? Really, Megatron?  

 

The JP adult hobby industry is chalk full of products whose prices are way way out of there. Takara seems to be late in the bandwagon. Iirc, the designers were given the memo to stop breaking the bank but after Megs, Dinobot and Megs again, it seems they feel that they can inflict as much pain in our wallet as possible. 

 

I called the key hook being part of the waist. I’m looking for screws at the moment but not finding a lot. Just pins and rivets, which is what I expected from TT in order to pull this Hound off.
