Finally transformed this guy! It really shouldn't have taken so long or trouble. I couldn't get his waist open was tough as hell. That's the annoying thing about 3P.
He's a beast though. Giant size but hard to get everything perfectly tabbed in.

Yeah, and while I like the look of this MP much more than Bee or Op - and I'll applaud the articulation, I can't help but notice all those Official Pics fail to capture him.......from any angle that highlights this:

    image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Floating armature head...........like its Unique Toys 2012. Not so pretty now eh?

With that price and that amount of design fuglyness it's a hard nope.

And Siege Skywarp in late December? Fuggin'hell string me out why doncha?!

very much looking forward to MP Hound - yes there's a few angles that look off, and that pic with the weirdly dislocated shoulder is pure nightmare fuel, but there's been a Hound-shaped gap in my Ark crew MP display for way too long, and i pray to primus this means we'll eventually see the rest.

completely unrelated query - anyone know how much a kidney goes for on the black market? - one careless owner, patchy service history...

Suppose that is the price paid for a smooth bonnet without panels. But not the worst thing. Still a handsome figure. That costs the earth.

    In other news...

Managed to make myself late for my train this morning unpacking this. But it tapped right into the nostalgia gland in my brain and let loose that sweet, sweet dopamine unboxing it. The package is so retro.

CW had been my IDW Optimus for years. He wasn't great but he was the one that best fit my needs. And now, finally, I have the 'perfect' Optimus for my IDW shelf. And that's a scary thing about WfC; it's so good I might not need to keep collecting.

... Did you realize you were lying to yourself as you typed it? :p  It never ends! Hasbro will never let your soul go!

Beefcake Pime may not have been perfect, but he did at least help us answer the question 'what would Optimus look like on Steroids?'

Oh, also...I put Ironhide, Sixgun, and Prowl loose into my bag last night, went off to do the counselling from the day job and then back home. On arriving home I couldn't find Prowl's gun/lightbar. Instantly, I start thinking that it's come out the bag at the counselling place and it'll wind up in the hoover before I get back there next week. I'm already resigning to buying a new Prowl, because Prowl without the lightbar is just wrong, and thinking I'll flog Prowl to one of my customizer friends on this friend for song, because like...they'll want to make Bluestreak, or Smokescreen, or even maybe Barricade. Oh...yeah...ah!

Cheeky fucker gun was sat on my desk when I got in this morning. I'm such a tart!

I can totally see a Thunderclash happening at some point in the next 2-3 years - maybe as a Select Series or convention exclusive. I think his MTMTE appearances have helped raise his profile a bit.

But Actionmasters...... Christ biscuits, I think I would properly lose my tiny mind.

Fun pub where always handy with an Actionmaster inspired repaint. And I miss that. Seeing the mock-up of Gutcruncher from TR Megs certainly stung. Would love to see a few Actionmaster lads get their due in Siege. Or all of them.

Thunderclash definitely seems on zeitgeist these days. I really do hope he elevates the other Turbomasters.
I hope that Selects does hoover up any Action Master opportunity, but it seems to niche even for that.
