Same. Its the last month of the 2nd quarter, so a deal this week and last week sound about right.

Just the opposite. Probably because I don't buy things from eBay much anymore.

I got 8% & 6% too If it lasted more than a day I might be bothered to use it - but I've bought to much lately so I'm almost caught up on a lot of what I wanted to get - the things I might want to get I'm waiting on a 15% sale to get. Annoyingly I just paid for a big BIN order 6 Hours before they issued the offer. I don't mind missing out on these to much they are not much different from the individual seller offers. As I bought so much late last month - I'm at that stage where I need a while to go hunting for things to fill my basket up with again.

Just saw this in my eBay message box and pulled the trigger on a few bigger ticket purchases. Hopefully something pricey comes along in July...

So they are sending out Ebucks invitation to different member over different period of time. Hopefully next week we will see a 15% flash sale for this quarter.

A 15% off sale is now like a 5% off sale, if you factor in that Ebay now charges sales tax. If buying new pieces, probably best to contact your sellers and arrange to buy outside of Ebay. Cheaper for the buyer and seller, and you may get a better deal. Pay with PayPal and your protected.

I was getting money off voucher codes a lot lately. so perhaps that is the promotion they are pushing at the moment. I had one that ended on the 31st May, one on the 6th of June and another on the 12th June. all £5.00 off a £10.00 spend.

Australia seems to be kinda quiet lately though - those persistant 5% off everything sales seem to be replaced by selected seller offers instead.

    Ebay:
Just be careful with that "contact your sellers" part. Ebay is monitoring those emails very closely so you have to choose your words very carefully.

100% agree otherwise and just don't want to see anyone get suspended because it happened to me. I know would certainly sell a lot of my stuff cheaper, if I could skip ebay's fees.

    Ebay:
I guess I buy too frequently from eBay. I’ve not received any of the targeted promotions this year. I have a few big items I’d grab if I ever get the offer.

85% of my new tfs are bought from baba, 10% from netclow, and the last 5%, random Asian sellers (have been lucky, avoided scamers). I also bought some Hot Toys MIB sealed from various US sellers, if cheaper the sideshow and on flash sales, same with Lego, then there are the misc purchases, but now with basically a 9% NYC sales tax it changes the game (have been used to not paying tax or even shipping through Ebay, so it is like a system shock).

@edgecrusher, try finding the flash sale thread, who knows what page it is on?

I can't speak for every seller but if you add a ".com" to my eBay screen name it's really easy to get ahold of me for a much better deal than on eBay.

eBay has some people pretty brainwashed though. Some time back, I had a customer looking to buy from me again. I still had his e-mail from before and offered 20% off what I was asking on eBay. He went through eBay anyway and paid the premium for some reason.

    Ebay:
That works if you have a site and I've seen some sellers with the entire website address with the ".com" as their user ID. Either way, just a fair warning so that no one gets kicked off.

In my situation, a buyer wanted to wait for a sub GI Joe figures to all drop. Well, if you hold anything passed your shipping time, you get dinged, which means I would get hit every other month for 12 months. My buyer and I were simply discussing how to handle that. I even called ebay twice to see if they had a solution, since they took it upon themselves to suspend my account for a week. Of course they didn't and I had to wait that fun out. They forget that I already have the buyers email address from previous buys so we took it off line any way.

Eventually, ebay will catch on that International sellers want to buy in bulk to save on shipping, which I know a number of sellers (not just freight forwarders) do that for their buyers but what do I know.

On the discount and buyers deciding to skip that. Yeah. I got a few of those stories too and I'm sure like you, other crazy stories to go with them.

The issue now is if you get the 13% eBay bucks for those that got it, do you use it or wait for the non confirmed and hopeful 15% flash sale?

Depends on how badly you want whatever you're looking to buy... If there's no danger of what you're after selling out or going up in price, and you can wait for a better price, wait it out.

If you got the 13% ebay bucks , remember its only on items 25$ or more. Not orders of 25$ or more.... so if you have 3 items totaling 30$ ... it wont work and you wont get the bucks.... each individual item has to be 25$ ... which is weird..

I used it and got some x transbots stunticons and IF legends figures from Baba..... I'd rather have a 15% flash sale but I'll take 13% ebay bucks and get a few guys now and hope for a flash sale later to get other figures I want.
