Got my hands on Galaxy Prime today

I've no sentimental attachment to Cybertron or it's toyline, I've never played with any figures from the line, I bought this purely because it looked cool

Man, I am loving it. I thought I was gonna like the individual Prime mode most out of the two robot modes, but the super mode is an absolute beast! It looks so cool and imposing just standing there, and I adore the headsculpt. I'd kinda been feeling a bit fatigued with Transformers as of late, but this guy has definitely helped to alliviate some of that, so I'm glad I picked him up. Highly recommended!

 

He's not just another updated G1 prime. Well, he kinda is in base robot mode, but he's got a different feel and a lot more OOMPF! than his contemporary brethren.

There are tutorials on Youtube. As another person said, be careful with shoe polish. I use the water based kind that squirts into a sponge with cheap disposable rags which get stained quickly and easily, along with gloves to protect my hands (don't need black fingers) and I do it outside in the open air for ventilation.

I assumed it would be grease/oil/ explosive residue and what not, without the physical dirt from Earth, so no Brown on mine. I also use an abrasive plastic brush, NOT something soft like a toothbrush, so as to really scrape away and rough up without going overboard. Not a metal brush. Just something you might use to clean a hardwood floor or tile in the kitchen/bathroom.

You can see my Ultra Magnus earlier in the thread. Ihad to "dial it back" by scrubbing a lot more and learned a lot before doing Starscream and Megatron. I practiced on green army men first, then moved to the Prime Masters like Landmine and so forth from the PotP line before moving onto weapons and eventually the main line toys.

I recommend you watch tutorials like I did, and practice on smaller less important toys to get the hang of it at first.

 

anyone found a way to open up prowls crotch? his hips are a bit loose one mine, wouldnt mind tightening them up a little

 

I just got done moving, and can't wait to pick up brunt, jetfire, reflector, and TC! good with passing on prowl, but I hope I can find him for cheap somewhere.

Ok I need to go to bed, I've been traveling for over 22 hours now I feel.

 

If it’s not to much to ask, could anybody get a picture of MP Shockwave next to siege shockwave?

 

But check out these two. I loved, and I guess still love, Henkei Hound, but man...Siege really takes it. I mean sure, I'd love to have seen a few of the elements of the Henkei one cross over (I'm a sucker for a chromed grill and I do feel a little pang of pain that the Siege lad is missing his shoulder cannon (must get the 3P add on)), but over all? no contest.

I'm torn on selling him. I'm all up for selling Classics Sideswipe and Prowl, FoC Soundwave, CW Optimus, TR Megatron, and PotP Starscream...but Henkei Hound? I do need to raise some funds...but I really think I'd miss this guy if he was gone!
