That's ok. I mentioned it before in another thread and I just want to say that, it's not necessary to get rid of older toys just because a newer, better version is coming soon.

For an example, I refuse to get rid of my 2007 Movie Deluxe Concept Camaro Bumblebee despite newer, more accurate Movie Bumblebee toys exists; The newer figures may have better screen accuracy, but I still like my old 2007 Deluxe Bumblebee enough for me to not getting an replacement.

Siege Ultra Magnus is one I just cannot put down. It's my desktoy. For a guy who hated the thought of him...I can't get over him. Geez.

Man I might have to borrow your level of dirtying up on these... namely Megs sword and Starscream. Love it!

 

The more I play around with Siege Decpeticons, I feel Megatron's alt mode does not fit his army.

Soundwave, Shockwave, Reflaktor are all "ships" in their alt mode. The seekers are jets. (well designed ships is another matter)

The tank feels more like an Earth alt mode that should have been used further down the WFC phasing. He's not even a hover tank right? Bound to the ground with treads.

For Siege it would have been nice to see him as a flyer similar to what was done for Megs in Animated. Travel the stars and conquer worlds with his armada.

I sorta agree with your logic. There’s something cohesive and aesthetically pleasing having all the A-list Decepticons be ships but in my head canon it just feels wrong for the original G1 Megs to have an aerial alt-mode.

If G1 Megs had an aerial alt-mode it would have to be extremely impressive. I imagine some super beefy, super armed spaceship. Keep the grey-black-red color scheme and bucket helmet.

Oh and Siege Megs has the BEST head sculpt of any Megs ever. That can’t be repeated enough. And even though Siege Megs has a lackluster transformation and alt-mode, the robot mode is bananas awesome.  

 

I kind of look at it as a Napoleonic sort of thing. He can't fly (except in robot mode, if that's canon in this version of the G1 story) but they can, giving them an advantage he doesn't have. Thing is, he's sheer power and will in humanoid form. Does he really need it? Does he yearn for it? Why would he need to? He's got the land and the air covered, all he needs is the sea and he's master of all. Now, if he can fly in robot mode, he's pretty much unstoppable. I personally don't think Megatron cares much, if at all, about the alt modes of his brethren.

As long as he can use it for his purpose, he doesn't give a toss. There's something to say for that.

 

Maybe I think more Megatron's WFC tank form when I think hover. Or FOC Brawl/Twintwist.

Got my hands on Galaxy Prime today

I've no sentimental attachment to Cybertron or it's toyline, I've never played with any figures from the line, I bought this purely because it looked cool

Man, I am loving it. I thought I was gonna like the individual Prime mode most out of the two robot modes, but the super mode is an absolute beast! It looks so cool and imposing just standing there, and I adore the headsculpt. I'd kinda been feeling a bit fatigued with Transformers as of late, but this guy has definitely helped to alliviate some of that, so I'm glad I picked him up. Highly recommended!

 

He's not just another updated G1 prime. Well, he kinda is in base robot mode, but he's got a different feel and a lot more OOMPF! than his contemporary brethren.
