That's just an Ebay "preorder" price on a reissue that's coming out. That's way inflated. The reissue will likely be much more reasonable. It looks like the reissue is going to have several little bits an improvements my version did not have...
I totally, TOTALLY understand this. That's why I said people that buy multiples with the intention of selling them. Having said that though, if there are (3) people standing in the aisle looking at a toy, and there are (3) of the toy, enough for each of the people physically standing there wanting one, don't be a DB and take all of them. That's super crummy of a person to do. At least do it when no one else is there, trying to get the same item.
Thanks a bunch. So they won't charge the amount until it comes into stock on 11/25/2019, right? Did you preorder one? Yeah, I wish Amazon accepted Paypal.
Seriously? Approximately 0.00000%. Harmony Gold won't let Macross-era stuff be sold in the US without them taking a cut. Alas, and a pox on Harmony Gold.
I've preordered from Amazon, but I'm hoping to cancel, and order instead from BBTS or TCP. Amazon has a bad habit of canceling preorders, and then they charge tax as well. So it's now $368. I don't understand the love for Paypal. I'd much rather pay with CC directly.
everyone will be charging tax, some states have opted in on their own already .Ebay had sent out an email letting you know, if somebody in another country buys something you're suppose to let them know taxes are going to be charged.
Yep, just for certain states, at least for now. That's not correct. The tax charged is to the local. So if somebody in NYC buys something from LA, NY state tax is charged (location of the buyer), not California state tax (where item sold). The entire point of the Supreme Court case (SD v. Wayfair) was that local shoppers were not paying local tax. The U.S. doesn't collect out-of-country taxes.
That's because he is not correct. Furthermore, there are still exclusions for business size, individuals, etc, in terms of who must and must not collect taxes. Obviously you and I, if selling on eBay/Facebook/TFW2005 forums, etc, have no means by which to do this. Same goes for some smaller businesses, and I'd bet some of the small TF shops we buy from are also exempted.
Incorrect. It is NYC sales tax that will be charged. That's why initially it was a logistical nightmare because stores had to figure out the tax process for each state. As it stands, NYC isn't charging online sales tax at this time. For NJ, there are stipulations. If an out of state retailer is selling above the amount and/or units set by NJ, the retailer will be required to collect NJ sales tax. So if that retailer doesn't meet the amount and/or volume it sells to NJ, they don't need to collect NJ sales tax.
Ebay collects taxes on behalf of the seller. Unfortunately, they're treated like Amazon. So it doesn't even matter if there are exceptions or stipulations for the different states or if the seller is internationally based. That's why I haven't bought anything lately from eBay. :/
