Also technically Pokemon Home is Sword and Sheild related. I hope that is January or February and not something like March or April.

 

I heard this Pokémon game will have new types. It could be balloon, I heard something called Demon type.

 

I really doubt Demon type would be a thing. Pokémon that could be considered demons would probably fall into Dark, Ghost and/or Fire category anyway. But one more day and we’ll hopefully find out!  

 

*Don't believe or hope in anything you hear until officially announced to avoid **disappointment, and considering how dark type is actually translated from "Evil", there's no point in Demon. I don't even know if there is an actual thing they could introduce as a new type. We basically got everything covered.

Highly doubtful. Rumours about types like light, demon, sound and cyber/plasma/space are all built up by fans.

The thing is Nintendo and Gamefreak also don't like to use concepts created by fans, they like to be original.

Even design wise if Demon types were a thing, I feel like they wouldn't look like Pokemon in order to properly define Demon type Pokemon as something visually unique than be seen as another dark/fire/ghost type.

Even when people say about light type Pokemon, we already have electric and fairy types. Design wise and play wise I don't see how they would make it work.

I do agree that with Fairy now, Pokemon has gotten typing pretty much covered. Though I wouldn't mind just one more that would make Ice a tad stronger.

If there was ever a new type, I personally would prefer it as a way to re-incorporate beta design Pokemon. Yes they could do regional forms/megas for some. But for the more unique and original Pokemon that never made it, I think it could work.

Could be something like Relict Type or some other word to convey its past/beta origin.

Lore wise they could have existed between the tie of fossil Pokemon and human civilization Pokemon and were just lost to the ice age, unlike Pokemon like Mamoswine. However they have just existed in a newly discovered untamed region that is just starting up with towns and outposts and what not.

I am FAR more hyped for this than any of the other games recently (including gens 6 & 7). Trailer was fantastic. I’m glad there isn’t any GO infestation (so far at least).

Ok, except for the Legendaries, I think they kind of look like shit but whatever. Everything else is fricking amazing and basically everything I wanted from a Switch Pokémon game!

Well, the Max Raids are clearly based on Go’s Raids...visually. But you’re right.

 

Dynamax really brigns back to canon those giant pokemon from the anime.

Yeah that is true. I was really only worried about stuff like “only catch some Pokémon if you connect with Go” or whatever, and there doesn’t seem to be.

Also yes, the legendary with the sword perpetually in his mouth is a bit dumb

You guys obviously missed the greatness that is Zacian. Wolves evolved into dogs to fetch the stick. You know what the REAL meaning to this is? "Go grab that guy's sword so he's defenseless". Zacian is the peek stage of wolves!

Personal theory. There's going to be a puppy pokemon that evolves into both, similar to Nebby and the SM legends.
