Yeah, I didn't even bother. Although I did wake up at 3:30a anyway and decided to check in - saw Dairugger was 64,000y on AJ and order stopped on HLJ. To which I promptly went back to sleep.

Hopefully BBTS has it for a reasonable pre-order price later today.

I was actually up at midnight for some reason (now I’m tired af at work), but probably pre-order one from bbts as placeholder in case I found one in my trip.

NY has GX-88 back up....for 42,500. Their usual markup shenanigans.

Somewhere between the original listing and the one that's up now, they sold a few for 35,000. Managed to get an order in at that price. Maybe I'll kick myself a down the road for not waiting on the US retailers, but at this stage it just feels good to have a preorder nailed down.

DX VF-1S and GX-88 in on night. Strike set for the Valk coming up. Gonna be an expensive week.

Bandai has it labeled Voltron. It’s going to get a wide release. NY is straight fucking their customers with an exorbitant mark-up. I am moving business away from them, their business practices leave a lot to be desired.

I already have US preorders in. They are up-charging $4-50 without an exchange rate and shipping cost. Fuck that. There is a giant Voltron logo on this release which means it’s going to be in all the major US stores at retail. Half of the retailers who support tfw2005 will ship it free to you. I think anyone paying a mark-up overseas is crazy. If I really want the sleeve I wait for the second release.

People are just letting FOMO cloud their better judgment, this isn't a limited release and as long as Bandai can find people willing to fork over $350 for the privilege of owning this thing they'll keep pumping them out. The scalpers are trying to get out in front of the huge price jump this time, but I don't know if it will work.

That's not actually that bad of a pic or pose? I mean for a 15 unit combiner? That's some decent action posing. I don't think you'll get quite that good of a dynamic pose out of the Miracle Metals (at least not without in some way chocking the wheels!) I don't need to see crazy Kung Fu poses. That is a very fluid and dynamic pose that they are showing off. It does a good job of selling the robot and it's joints.

It's taken Bandai 2 years to restock/re-release GX-71 after it sold out in days.

I'm not sure if that's been the case with GX-71. Two and a half years from release and it's still selling for $100-$300 over MSRP on the secondary market. Seems like there are plenty of interested folks that have in fact missed out on this guy.

Correct. GX-71 did not sell out in days it was available at release there was just more interest in it once it started getting in peoples hands and pulling so many Voltron fans out of the woodwork.

That’s why there was a second release that hasn’t hit yet.

Not really a fan of the Internet taxes. Wonder if this will backfire and instead of allowing brick/mortar stores to compete people will just start buying less of what they don't really need.

I placed an order to be safe. Hoping for a non-taxed version.
