I highly doubt it'll get a physical release of any kind. I'm still partially involved with that side of the music & media industry through who I do all my marketing/design career, and since soundtracks are typically just compilations of already released and readily available material, these kinds of releases have all but been killed off unless it's insanely popular and/or features exclusive material from huge names. And even then it's far from a given anymore, especially since it's a higher mechanical royalty rate to pay out for the licensed artists. Like everything else physical nowadays, they just don't sell. Republic Records themselves aren't even actively advertising or showcasing this release, so that sort of tells you where it lands on their radar. Everyone who wanted to make some coin off the Hailee song already did with the single for it. The rest is just monetary icing.

I definitely get why physical releases are dying out. With digital downloads you can fit far more songs onto a device you use all the time. Plus you can choose to buy individual songs, instead of buying an entire album. It's just more convenient all around. In my opinion CDs are just not a good format. They're big, clunky, and get easily scratched.

I just listed to the '80s remix of 'Back to Life' (it's on YouTube), I like it a lot better than the regular release. The vocals still sound a bit too processed (I wouldn't have minded a completely different recording), but I really appreciate that they attempted to work it into something more decade-appropriate.

Initially I was kind of lukewarm on the song, but it's really grown on me since. It definitely fits the themes in the movie, and it works perfectly in context. I still don't think I like it quite as much as Battle Cry, but it's probably my second favorite credits song of the series, followed by Torches.

I think "Dance Hall Days" plays when Charlie talks to her manager about the hot dog sticks, before Bee destroys her house And Memo calls her.

(And "Weird Science" is by Oingo Boingo)

    Thanks!

I completely forgot to Google who did "Weird Science", lol. Sometimes I edit this in a hurry, and just leave placeholders until I can finish.

I made a "Bumblebee" soundtrack CD yesterday for my car (which accepts only CDs); I used the Amazon MP3s and then filled it out with Dare, Arrival to Earth, NEST, Unicron's Theme, and Stan Bush's unused TF:TM theme. I would have added Stan Bush's "She's Got the Power" from Sailor Moon, but I think my Sailor Moon albums are on a slave drive, and I didn't feel like digging it out.

Charlie also wears a "The Damned" t-shirt at one point.

Does anyone know which song plays over the establishing shots to the carnival? It was either "Things Can Only Get Better" or "Dance Hall Days"...

Omg! Thank you for this- I heard a snatch of a song I've been trying to figure out for over 30 years while watching Bumblebee. Only ever heard bits of it on the radio as a kid. Today, thanks to that list, I've figured out it's "Things Can Only Get Better". That was awesome to finally find it. <3

Glad to be of service! It's always neat when you're finally able to identify a song you've been looking for!

I'm getting closer to finishing the list of songs.

Does anyone recognize the songs in the deleted scenes? I identified one, but I can't find the others. I have a feeling they used royalty free songs as placeholders (or songs they could get cheap).

I need the songs at 2:13 and 4:33...

The list of songs in the movie is about as complete as it's going to be for now. Three songs listed in the credits aren't available anywhere, so I assume they were composed for the movie (as background/instrumental pieces). One of them probably appears in the carnival scene. I might try to contact the artists at some point, but I'm not hugely concerned, I'm more focused on the actual '80s songs. Those are now in-order and have scene descriptions (to be fair, they were already in-order in the credits).

I can't seem to identify where the Juicy Fruit commercial appears. It should appear between Charlie rushing home from work and the Golden Gate Bridge scene. I don't hear it on the radio or TV in any scene. Maybe it's very faint, or maybe it's referenced in dialog (I was doing other things, and had the movie playing in the background. I was only listening for musical cues.) If anyone can find it, please let me know.

Also, "Think (About It)" - by Lyn Collins is not in the movie. It's only credited because "It Takes Two" samples from it. "It Takes Two" actually came out in 1988 (meaning it technically shouldn't have been released yet, since the movie takes place in 1987). Still, that's the song that appears. "Think (About It)" is credited as a note, so that's how I did it too.

    Good afternoon all,

I might be able to help with one of the tracks.
'Cool Kids' by Greg Pajer is available on his website, I'm new here so I can't post the link but if you look up his official website you'll find it. Its literally his name.

    I hope that helps.

Oh and I should have added a big thank you for the list, its a great soundtrack and I appreciate all the work that's been put into finding all the songs.
