Push it in a few times... I think the springs need to get broken in as they can be pretty stiff.

IMO the bonus spotlight and remote isnt that much really..the light is too weak and the batteries drain quickly..its more of just for display..

Figured it out last night. The button on the backpack that releases the side pieces had some flash and was causing the button to stick. Works like a champ now! Thanks for the help everyone.

My Gaudenter came missing a small piece on the right shoulder where the little plastic lock attaches to. I was able to get a replacement part but have no idea how to replace it. Would anyone know how the darker blue plate on his chest is attached to the part underneath? Been trying to carefully nudge it out but it's not budging. Hope someone can help me out?

As much as I like Fanstoys' Soar, I too have to admit that Gaudenter looks much more impressive in either bot mode or pterosaur mode. Soar does still look better on his stand in bot mode; Gaudenter looks a little too bulky to leave on his stand in bot mode. Nevertheless, he looks great standing with my other third-party dinobots. If he came with a smiling-face head, he'd be perfect. (For some reason, ever since I got Soar, I've decided that Swoop should be always be smiling in bot-mode.) Instead I have Soar smiling and waving while I have Gaudenter with a stoic look on his face and a sword in each hand as if he's about to dice some Decepticons.

My metallic Swoop arrived today from Sarah Zang took 12 days to get here but to my surprise it came with everything including 2 lights and the remote so was not expecting that now to get batteries for it :)

Finally got my Gaudenter after it was stuck in customs for over a month!

Can someone tell me if this is a mistake on my figure? Both of the thighs have the screw holes on the right-side. I would expect that the screw holes would be on the inside of the thighs on both legs.
    IMG_0029.jpg

Second question, is this where the head would get scratched up if i tried to peg in the beak?

    Thanks!

@Ichibaru Yea I can confirm on my copy (Metallic) the screw holes are on the outside of the right leg like yours.
    IMG_20190621_161532.jpg
And below the holes is where on my copy it gets scratched up/rubbed off unfortunately. I should've done this but since they give you 2 heads,1 should be used for Dino mode while other is for Bot mode. Live and learn I guess lol. Hope that helps.

Mine arrived yesterday. I'm an unapologetic Fanstoys fanboy and I love my iron dibots but I'm two gigapower dinos in now and man I'm impressed with them! IMG_20190622_104305.jpg

I finally decided between tracking down a Soar and grabbing one of these. I like how both look and I know both companies make quality toys so it’s been hard to choose, but the metallic blue Gaudenter finally won in the end. Ultimately it was the transformation that made me choose, it just seems a smidge better here.

Anyway, the metallic blue release does NOT come with the spotlights and remote, correct?

I think a lot 3rd party companies have screws all on a single side for pieces as a cost cutting measure instead of making dedicated pieces for each side. I noticed it on my toyworld constructor for one. Can’t remember other examples

Yeah the screws are on the right side of both legs. It was like that in their renderings. Disappointing since he's the only one like that. Understandable too since his right and left legs don't need separate molds.

The spot you have circled is one of the areas where paint chips. It'll flake from the edges where the gold meets the red too.

Thanks! I’ll offer them up here if I get them since they’d just be another thing I don’t use that takes up space.

Thanks for the info guys. Pretty chintz with the screw holes, considering that they went through the effort of having covers for the holes that need to be glued in and fall out anyways.

Congrats dude! I love both Soar and Gaudenter and both represent him very well. I have read how people say he absolutely blows away Soar in every aspect and I respect that opinion. I will say that FT does a better job when it comes to replacement parts. I had an oopsie with my Soar and a small piece of the crest on the beak book off and I was devastated. He tipped forward and did a face plant on my shelf so no more standing without something to hold him in pace. I was about to get another one on ebay and I recalled how @dalianjj had hooked me up the last time I needed a part replaced on Sever. I am glad I contacted him! So for $8 shipped I am getting a new beak in just 4-6 weeks. That kind of service is something GP has not been able to accomplish as of yet, but maybe some day they will.

As for the spotlights, I believe that was a bonus item that came with the very first wave of releases of Gaudenter and now that those have been exhausted you will only receive the flame affects. I am glad I got in on the first wave. Have fun!

they are not fast, but they are responsive. I sheared off Guttur's thumb and let them know, like, 2 years ago. a few months ago, when they re-released it, they sent me a whole new hand. And they actually did communicate with me in the interim a few times to let me know that things actually were progressing. so just like their company in general, their customer service is slow but quality

Yes same happened to me. So IMHO, GP has a way to before they get to the quality of service offered by FT. And yes their bot is bigger compared to Soar, but FT could have easily done the same thing. Quality wise, both Gaudenter and Soar have their upsides and downsides. There is no such thing as a 100% flawless bot IMHO....good day all
