Cobra. He apparently wants to revive, of all head shaking things, Cobra. But as a TV series or something.
It looks great. My only problem is that I liked the song from the leaked trailer better than that Old Town Road song every millennial has been obsessing over lately (although I will admit that it’s definitely not the worst pop song I’ve ever heard and I do appreciate the Western portions of the song).
I think he’s going to be more of a vigilante this time around without access to big ass machine guns. I still think this is going to be really gory though in a different way. Drug cartel tactics are notably brutal, so I’d imagine Rambo is going to dole out some “eye for an eye” kills in this.
My folks and I are stoked for the film. Not sure how I feel about that song playing in the trailer, leaning towards not liking its usage.
That’s honestly my prediction. In the novella that First Blood is based on, Rambo does die and they even filmed an ending that was faithful to the book. Plus, it would actually kinda be an appropriate ending for Rambo since he can never leave the battlefield behind, and this would finally give him some peace since he doesn’t have any family left.
I hope they don't kill off Rambo but then again they are killing off all the good ones from classic franchises. I had always hoped for a Rambo movie where he returned to the Special Forces to train and lead a younger group of Green Beret's.
2019 the year will end with Stat Wars, Terminator, and Rambo. Who would have thought that 30 years ago. It is funny though because my favorite is Star Wars then Terminator then Rambo but in terms of excitement for these three new ones Rambo looks the best then Terminator and then Star Wars.
Yeah but I don’t think there’s a movie there. Plus, after First Blood I don’t think the Army can formally bring him back - especially to as prestigious a position as a training officer for the Green Berets.
Maybe if he’d done it then and there, and there’s always the possibility Trautman was offering him a position as what we would now refer to as an external contractor. And for all he’s good at it, CIA wetwork is frankly beneath a man of John Rambo’s character and dignity. At this point in his life, and with his best advocate at his final rest, it is unlikely they would bring him back. Mind you, if John had a notion, he could write his memoirs instead. Bet that bastard would perch atop the best seller list for a long time.
