FINALLY got these a couple of months ago. Last week I opened them and (tried to) transform them, etc.

(ComiToon/"TEAL") Boost is okay, probably 65/100. I don't know how I transformed the feet both ways, but I did, and it sure as hell wasn't by using those gods-awful instructions. Joints run the gamut of loosey-goosey to snug, red/car paint doesn't match (but I knew about these things).

I'm glad I finally got it, but it would probably be pretty easy for someone else to beat this figure for my MP Windcharger - except the fact that most companies will chibi out the alt-mode and make it even more out-of-scale; So, I guess this is probably my last Windcharger figure.

Hatch? Man, at some point I just ended up trashing him. I can't recommend it to even IDW fans. Rubbish.

Hate the foot design for Boost, ended up snapping it off by accident, and gluing it back carefully, but now will probably never transform him again to avoid breakage. Didn't have the same issue with Hatch though ironically enough, as he transformed fine.

Try hitting up XTB for a replacement foot piece.

Late to the party on this set but finally jumping in. Decided on the toon version. I was watching 598 Robots review and noticed that with the mask on Boost, there was an issue with it not fitting with the back of the head. I did manage to scroll back through about 30-40 pages, I came across one individual who showed a picture with the mask and it appeared like the problem was fixed. Just wanting to check that this is the case? It probably shouldn't matter as I probably won't display him with that face, however, I feel like if it's something that comes with it, it might as well fit properly anyhow. Haha. Thanks for any feedback.

Yeah that was a problem on the battlemask for the first release. You have to change the back of the head if I recall to put that face on and they forgot to put it in the box or something. All the new ones now are fixed.

Got my haul today which included these two! Pretty glad I picked them up! Didn't see any real issue other than when in car mode, those lights that lift. I seem to have one on Boost(Windcharger) whose one light is sort of loose and flips up and down too easy. Not a deal breaker tho. Certainly doesn't take away from the look and feel. Glad to have these two be apart of my collection. MVIMG_20190608_131622.jpg

Maybe a dab of either Pledge floor polish (future) or clear nail polish will help the loose light.
This mold came from the old XTB..........a time when having polish handy was a must.

I've been waiting for an eBay flash sale to pick up Boost. I don't want to pay full price as his feet bug me, especially from a side view.

I frequent toy shows and comic conventions in CA, and there is one dealer who I see at every show that has Boost and Hatch as a packaged set. I don't care for Hatch, but the vendor refuses to separate the two. He's had them both for over a year now, and at $130 for both, he'll be keeping them for the next several years.

I bought the two pack. Love the Windcharger, but I can’t geat the Tailgate chest into place. I almost think there’s a defect in the assembly that folds his torso into place. Very dissapointed by that. It’s a very frustrating transformation.

I received Boost yesterday and the right lower leg snapped off while trying to figure out how it un-pegs. I've put in a request with TCP for an exchange. Defintely one figure I'll never transform again once he's in bot-mode. How in the world did XTB think that such a difficult design with such tiny pieces to work with was okay to release?

Think I'm going to end up selling my Toon Boost and keeping the Comitoon one. The silver legs don't bother me as much as I thought they would and I find the grey chest much better than the blueish one found on the Toon version. It also seems to be slightly better put together, but that could just be my copy.

Pretty sure it is just your copy :D
Seems like across all versions, it's hit and miss... In my specific case, "miss".

The wrist screw on one arm was overtightened and stripped its housing. Unfortunately, the whole lower arm assembly relies on that single screw, so mine is a floppy mess that falls apart when you look at it in a funny way.

I don't even think general QC is the real issue here, it's just an overall bad design that provides lots of potential weak spots and non-tolerances, without any margin or redundancies.
So even the slightest fluctuation in the manual assembly process would lead to serious issues.

However, to this date this is by far the best MP-ish Windcharger, so I'm happier with than without.

considering there aren't any other MPish Windchargers out there it's a pretty easy sell for us completionists that aren't satisfied til we have the whole season of bots.

The feet are horrible (they look like bird feet/talons) and his face looks like an owl. Pass.

The legs are easy if you know the trick, absolutely terrible if not.

I posted a link to the video in this thread showing how to do the legs safely and easily.
