Updated 11/3 - My custom masterpiece Barricade. He's all finished except that I still need to paint his rims and tires. I also still need to add his Decepticon logo. More pics coming soon...
Man, that is so bloody crisp and smooth! Quite nice! My only nitpick would be that he needs more to show he's not just an emo Prowl. A visor or mustache would really add to the overall character difference.
This is so awesome, fantastic paint work! But the biggest thing I'm happy about is that it doesn't use Smokescreen's head.
Agreed. Paint is absolutely fantastic along with the beautiful shading on the windows , but the face needs some mods to make it Barricade and not just a black repaint.
Would you mind if I asked your method? Is that airbrushed or did you use acrylics with a matte finish?
Thanks for all the comments guys! The black color and red gradient colors were airbrushed on yes. All of the other colors were hand brushed. I thin my hand brushed paints down and apply them in layers as to avoid brush strokes. I used Model Masters and Citadel paints. I also used Model Master Satin mixed with a touch of gloss and thinned down to get the right matte look that I like. Thanks for the feedback guys. I should've added the protruding chin and maybe some 'old' cheek lines to give him more Barricade character.
