Takara Tomy and Hasbro are corporations. They aren't your friends and they don't put this stuff out to be nice. They are trying to make as much money as the market allows them to. I'm not defending their pricing and I agree that it's way more than I'm ever going to spend on a toy. By the replies, here, some people have the money and will pay it. That's why the MP line exists; to get people to pay top dollar for fancy toys. Anyone who charges less than the highest possible amount they can get away with for luxury items is a fool. So save all your math and your logic that attempts to justify the higher prices. The reason they are going up is because TT believes they can raise the prices and still meet their sales estimates.

The KO factories are salivating. Takara is giving them all the ammunition they need. I give it three months until KO Hound is available everywhere for $45.

 

And people will still buy the Takara version. KO companies don’t deserve any revenue from stealing Takara’s work.

 

I'll probably stick with Willis (don't want to double dip, particularly as Willis is enough for me), but that hood is nothing compared to his feet, which tend to get floppy, have screws that are too short, and generally a bit of a CF.
That said, I can't wait till they show more pictures of Hound! Also, if they go with a toy version I may actually consider it.

 

They definitely don't.....BUT, lower prices prevail. They also allow those with smaller budgets to get MP figures, so thats nice. The best advice is to not get worked up on it.

 

They don't deaerve it, but in my case I'll give it to them since Takara has priced me out of their figures.

I was hoping to see the diving mask included but this is still very cool.

I wouldn't mind the KOs so much if they would do something different instead of being direct copies. Give me weird and obscure repaints! Still shocked that no KO company did Bumblebee in canary yellow or any of the other colors of the rainbow that the original toy had been released in.

Huh, another spike figure. If a person went with a full Takara selection for a complete G1 MP collection, how many spikes would they have?

Also its really feeling like every figure needs a very, very specific accessory that references a single G1 episode. What cage? The key to what cage?

Yeah, but if it's already attached to the head, via flip out from under the helmet maybe, it wouldn't be listed as an accessory part. Fingers crossed.
