I might have to go repro for those bits, one chap had the Octopunch crab legs at €45 and I just couldn't do it.

Was thinking earlier and my revised target for my G1 colleftion is all UK and European, all US releases, and all original Japanese molds, which means I'm not too driven to collect Grand Max, Battle Gaia, Guard City, Blue Bacchus and the like, but means Big Powered and Road Caesar top the list as must haves after I get the 6 US exclusive Pretenders.

Suddenly my G1 goals seem achievable.

I have a complete boxed AM Megatron I'm selling, happy to split figure and box if that helps? No paperwork if memory serves.

Certainly appreciate the offer, but I'd imagine it could get expensive with overseas shipping?

If only someone stateside had one....

Thanks! In a few other instances I had to fudge the year for similar reasons such as by listing it as “1980s”.

The matrix and ax are a 3rd party add on set. I painted the inside of the windows and added the blue paint on the matrix center.

    I sense bitterness...

    ...and passive aggression.
    :p

Dammit, Allen, hitting me right in the sympathy by saying it's one of the last AM boxes you need...
*SIGH* FINE, PM me and we'll see if we can work something out.

*gets scissors and starts cutting out the tech specs, hoping no one will notice...*

Those are so awesome I can't help but be jealous :)

Glad to hear it! Will you be continuing Maz's interviews and reviews too?

The heights are playing tricks with my mind.
Forgive my ignorance, but are Weirdwolf, Mindwipe, etc. shorter than usual? Are those Headmaster Jrs, or maybe small KOs?

Those are Japanese Kabaya model kits. They're scaled down versions of the G1 toys. Your mind isn't playing tricks on you, when assembled they are only the same size as Actionmasters. Some of the Kabaya kits are quite rare. It took me years to find Weirdwolf and Mindwipe.

I'm pretty sure the Kabaya kits were officially licenced from Takara so they're not knock offs.

I know some fans can be snobby about third party or knock offs but it's foolish to spend €40+ for small bits of plastic.
This is an expensive hobby as it is.

I've bought Octopunch's accessories and they're well made and reasonably priced.

I know what you mean, but at the same time it's foolish to spend tens of thousands of pounds on comics and toys over a 39 year period, but I fear I'm too far gone now. Haha.

Chromedome is my childhood version, the only product I ever sent off Robot points for, still minty looking despite years of play. Picked up the others across the years and recently finished off Brainstorm by getting him repro labels and weapons. Japanese exclusive headmasters are the knock offs.

    Looking good, love it!

Last year was eventful :(  I moved cross country and then returned to the land of the Texans 3 months later, and when I did I brought my favorite G1s and masterpieces. Didn’t have room to bring my entire vintage collection obviously. So my dad sold everything I didn’t bring with me. I lost many characters including but not limited to:

    Every autobot car except Sunstreaker
    Megs
    All the seekers
    Defensor KO
    Superion KO
    Predaking
    Devastator
    Metroplex
    Trypticon
    Chromedome
    Hardhead
    Mindwipe
    Weirdwolf
    Fortress Maximus
    Pointblank
    Triggerhappy
    Godbomber
    And soooo many more.

My collection has definitely shrunk...but I decided to seize the opportunity. Quite a lot of the figures I lost were reissues or KOs. And almost every figure I brought with me is vintage. So I’ve decided to go authentic vintage only. Keeping the reissues I have while only buying vintage figures. Gotta say, it’s actually taken the pressure off. I no longer care about any upcoming reissues and I have less of an opportunity to spend money, lol. Hope this future endeavor goes well!
