I went to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles and to my delight I saw the actual movie vehicles from Revenge of the Fallen Skids and Mudflap (Dodge Ice Cream Truck) and prequel Bumblebee (Volkswagon Beetle) as part of their exhibit Hollywood Dream machines: Vehicles of Science Fiction and Fantasy through March 15 2020 (Science Fiction Vehicles | Sci-Fi Cars | Hollywood Cars | Petersen Automotive Museum.)
The gift shop also sells transformers toys from die cast scaled vehicles to Hasbro action figures. They even have Studio Series 20 with the Gold Beetle and dino cassettes for 65.99 (I know the retail is 59.99 but I did not expect to see it in a physical store in the USA).

I would have thought that Ice cream truck was destroyed during production.

Adding more pictures. I have to shrink these pics to 25% so I can upload them here.

You know they typically use multiple identical prop vehicles for a movie shoot, right?

I don't know if it's possible, but I'd buy a Studio Series Skids/Mudflap ice cream truck. I *think* you could get away with it at the Voyager price point but I'm not sure how you'd get them to shrink down enough for vehicle mode.

Is the exhibit theme "highs and lows?"

Hmm, apparently the Reprolabels set for the ice cream truck is missing some things...

You're right! Throw that trash Beetle out in the parking lot where it belongs!

What's funny is that the deco of the ice cream van is directly based on this photo from Wikipedia:
    Ice_Cream_Truck_Sydney_Australia_-_crop.png

    Compare the concept art:

I did and still love that ice cream truck. Absolutely loved the deluxe as well, what a cool and unique figure that ended up being.

There are very few closeup photos of the ice cream truck on the internet, so this is a great resource for reference :)

The “suck my popsicle” and the “I’m not that kind of car” are perfect examples of the terrible decisions made towards the humor of the films with Bay in charge.

Nevertheless it’s cool to see these custom cars, intentionally weathered and painted to look beat up when in fact they had a lot of love put into them. Minus some of the writing on Skids/Mudflap. But hey, it’s Skids and Mudflap.

We need a studio series Skids and Mudflap bad. And if you dont like the characters, suck my popsicle. They were just plain fun. Not laughing at their antics is geeky. Have fun. Life is too short.
