As much as I like the sculpt,I have to agree. Whatever plastic quality this has means nothing to me if the designers can't be bothered to incorporate knees and leg joints into the design. I'm only willing to let that slide for really small toys like Tiny Turbo Changers and BotBots.

Well...it’s very animation accurate...but God I hate this episode. Let’s hope it gets more articulation.

The face and posture doesn't capture that perfect misery in the line art. I need that to offset reminding me that episode exists.

As much as I like G1 stuff this is just TOOO G1. in a bad way.

I admit, I'd love to have an Autobot-X that transforms into something even if it's something As Frankensteined looking as the bot itself.

I think the Munster Mobile would be a rad tribute.

or... maybe something from Mad Max universe. :D

This will be great for my classics display, I don’t need him to transform.

While he may not have an alt mode in the show, they shpuld have at least attempted one. It’s lazy

Nice. I wish it had leg articulation, though.

After taking a good look at it, it seems to have some basic articulation. Rotation at the lower legs, bend at the elbows, rotation at the head, waist and shoulder, and I think some rotation at the hand... I myself dont care for the episode or character, but cheers to those who do. What I find funny are the people complaining that it doesn't transform.. I mean, are you serious? The character never transformed in the cartoon either, so what makes you think it would in this case?

Seems like enough articulation for a non transforming character.

He will look great on a toon centric MP display.

    Awesome comparison shots! :thumb

But looking at those? They messed this character up BADLY. For one, Frankenstein's monster is supposed to be made of a hodge podge of mismatched parts - so the way everything on the toy looks so symmetrical in size is already wrong. In the cartoon version, you get a sense that the upper torso is too large, and the arms extend almost to the knees (being too large for the body).

I'm not sure what the toy designers were looking at, but they basically took a TF idea and dressed it up as Autobot Spike, rather than taking the concept of Autobot Spike and building the toy to look like Frankenstein's monster.

Plus, there was a real opportunity to give him a creative alt-mode here (like a funky car with mismatched parts!), but they made this cheaply instead. I'd be more interested in a converting version, to be honest. It wouldn't be the first time a 3P took liberties with cartoon designs and enhanced the product!
