Mikaela actually has some experience with Transformers that could've boost her mechanical skills. Remember this scene? now imagine what it would have developed into for the DOTM battle. Hell, she would've killed a con with little help.

Carly came from a military family but she definitely wasn't a veteran give how useless she was beyond the heart to heart with Megs.

Megan Fox/Mikaela Banes deserves better!

 

On the one hand, Carley I felt to be a more pleasant person that Mikaela, however I do feel having her in DOTM would have paid off several emotional and character beats better.

 

It's a shame she had to be replaced in DOTM - or that they just didn't get another actor to play the same role.
Or keep Megan - if she and the director had a row and couldn't work together, wouldn't it have been more beneficial in the long run to just get rid of the director instead...
As much as I like Wheelie (one of things I do like about the original live action films) it would have fitted his character if he went off with Mikaela rather than stay with Sam. Actually, that's a spin off film I'd like to see!

 

It's interesting how Charlie in Bumblebee seems to follow the proposed model of the "Mikaela finds Bumblebee instead of Sam".

Watched the scene. Couldn't see any eye rolling, but she did look a bit bored when Simmons pulled out the seeker pics. There was sorta something that could have been an eye roll when Simmons was climbing up the cabinets, but that could have been the character being exasperated at Simmons. After all, he didn't exactly endear himself to her in the first movie.

We really underestimated Mikaela aka Megan Fox guys. She deserved so much better than how this community and Michael Bay most of all treated them

How? Fox admitted that it was her mistake and made amends with Bay. Anyways, how would it make sense to bring back the same actress for a reboot—a mediocre actress too?

 

I think it would depend on how much her acting has improved, among other things. At this point, her poor acting (especially in ROTF) is sort of infamous. Unless Sam returns too, I don't think she'd be a high-priority character to bring back.

Exactly. Megan Fox is not a great actor and was brought on solely for her sex appeal - of which last I checked kinda went down the toilet after that round of plastic surgery some years back. It feels like people want her back for no other reason than simply trying to cling to what remains of a dead franchise.

Bayverse is over people, the sooner this is accepted, the sooner we can actually get some real progress with the franchise again.

I hated Wheelie in RotF. His swearing and crude actions added to the rest of those same issues in that movie.
But it was like he grew up in DotM and was one of the things I loved about that movie.

 

How could she? The film series she's in is over. If anyone can return, it would be Charlie right now.

 

I agree with the video for the most part-here's my problem: she neglects to mention the history of Michael Bay's cinematic repertoire-especially in regards to how he has portrayed Women. You can't separate that from his work, especially the bayverse films, and those portrayals can't be rectified without holding Bay , Lorenzo, (and the other bayverse guard) accountable, because his history and his viewpoint, dictates and influences his work. Especially when he told MTV News why he killed off Arcee-it's pretty telling. . .

I did wonder about what else happened in Mikaela's story, as well as Maggie Madsen and the Frances McDormand character. Yet, in bay movies, we'll never know, because of the framing and writing-and Sam's Mom and even Anthony Anderson's character-not much of an improvement either, at all . . . Bay had no desire to develop those characters fully. Charlie was definitely a step in the right direction, and, more importantly, a glimpse at a solution to what preceded the BB film. . .

I'd highly recommend not taking anything Lindsay Ellis says seriously. She's not all there, if you know what I mean. How long before she's arrested for getting drunk off her ass and assaulting cops again?
