Pretty sure Aladdin is going to do that. The question is, will Big G beat the Genii?

I've been watching this one all day. Goosebumps every time. I just hope the theater I go to plays it LOUD! This movie needs to be loud as hell.

This movie is going to be the exact opposite of that boring-ass Endgame. I hated Endgame, I hate anything boring. Humans talk too damn much in real life, I don't need 3 hours of that shit in my movies too.

First Deadpool, now Godzilla uses LL Cool J's "Knock You Out!" But no complaints, that was awesome.

So since it looks like we're getting "Burning Godzilla" could that mean he'll be dead by the end?

Perhaps a young Godzilla will appear at the end, which would make the Godzilla vs Kong movie more evenly matched...

Nah, I think Godzilla’s “natural” makeup this time around makes him safe. Unlike where he’s usually the result of a nuclear catastrophe, unnatural.

I'd like to see sci fi combat vehicles like the old movies had.

About the personalities of Ghidorah's heads. 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' heavy King Ghidorah is a 'very human' dragon

“Ghidorah is from another planet and he’s basically the heavy in the film,” says Chambliss. “One of the challenges was, we’re inundated with dragons in our culture right now. So, Ghidorah risks being the most ho-hum of [the monsters in the film]. What Michael did was, he played on the very human characteristics. He played on characteristics that we associate with human beings but he applied them to the monsters. Ghidorah, with his three heads, was an opportunity to have three different aspects of a generally similar creature.”

Indeed, director Dougherty had different actors — Alan Maxson, Richard Dorton, and Jason Liles — portray each of Ghidorah’s heads, via the magic of motion capture.

“It was important to me that each of Ghidorah’s heads have a slightly different personality than the other,” says the filmmaker. “Just imagine if you had three dogs, all of the same species. I mean, it’s subtle. I used to have three dogs, and you sort of learn that they have very different ways of expressing themselves, even if they look alike. I loved the idea that each head did sort of have its own personality and quirks, with the center head being the alpha of the three. He’s the one who’s sort of the big brother and the most serious. And then, the other two are just a little bit different. One head is slightly more aggressive and tenacious. The other one displays signs of curiosity. So, in a lot of ways, they’re just like three triplets. You know, they have a lot of traits in common, but they all have their own unique way of reacting to a situation. Ghidorah, he’s a singular character with three distinct personalities and doing the mocap, the facial capture, that way just seemed to make the most sense. And it was a ton of fun too.”

Mmmmm, delicious information. Feels good in a way to know Ghidorah's an alien and not from around here. Even with all the crazy things we might expect from that ancient Earthen time, a entire population of 500ft three-headed dragons that cause storms just by existing might be pushing it :lol

Another article adds some detail to Mothra: How Mothra got lit for 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters'

In contrast to the other monsters, Mothra's always been associated with grace and beauty, so it was important to retain that while updating her to more than just 'bigger moth'. Where other titans inspire terror, she brings awe and wonder to her followers. More so, this is reflected in her bioluminescence. While Rodan claws his way out of fire like a demon and Ghidorah swathes himself in darkness, Mothra's elegance shines out for all to marvel at.

I love how you can immediately see the personality differences with Ghidorah’s heads during the Antarctic preview as well. When Godzilla shows up, it’s clear that the central head is the one in charge as he sizes Godzilla up and taunts him with a, “long time no see, bitch”, screech. Whereas the right head is all about wanting to get straight to the fighting bit and tearing Godzilla apart, whilst the left is more reserved and looks to his, “big brother”, questioning if they’re really about to do this.

It’s subtle as stated, but those little traits and quirks just make Legendary Ghidorah feel that more alive and dynamic in a way that character never really had been before, and this is coming from a Ghidorah fanboy. Also, it’s awesome to finally get a confirmation that this bastard is in fact from space; he just doesn’t look like he belongs on Earth like the other three do.

I hate to be a negative-Nancy, but the fact that there are still no reviews is extremely concerning imo.

...not too concerned. It's a Godzilla movie, I'm mostly there for the spectacle, and so long as I don't get terribly bored with the stuff inbetween, that'll be enough. I've watched enough Godzilla movies over the years to understand and anticipate the issues inherent in the genre. I'm not expecting a masterpiece, but if it's good or even great that'll be a bonus. Critics will be grading it on a different metric.

The main thing that's bothering me about it from what I've seen so far is the color palette. Sitting through 2 hours of teal and orange is often more than I can take.

Not reviews but I have read some reactions.

The negative ones are about human jokes and some are about the fight scenes one I read compared it to Transformer fights saying it keeps going back and forth between humans and monsters.

The positive reactions I read like the fight scenes, fanservice, and the movie is fast paced so it doesn't waste any time getting to the action. Also, read that the movie has lots of pretty shots.

Yeah, but I feel the original got an extremely deserved decent reaction (75% on RT still, I believe) and I just don't want this film going the way of Pacific Rim: Uprising, so to speak, and get a 30% or something and be only good because of it's visuals and nostalgia factor (which Godzilla '14 wasn't imo).

Yeah the humans looked like a low point in the Trailer imo. Except maybe MBB herself, who looks like she will save the human aspect of the film.
