    No, it d
Obviously, it does matter. The fact that BB "is made for both generations" DOES NOT negate what I said in the slightest. Especially given how many spoke loudly when tlk tanked so badly, that it nearly bankrupted Paramount to the point that the reshoots in BB were pretty much considered necessary to separate BB from the first five movies (for the most part). . .And also the slow warming up to BB (especially here in North America) since many folks initially avoided it, because they: a)already had long since been tired of bay's bull#$#!; b)thought that BB was another film directed by bay, and c)the timing of BB's release and the other films it had to compete with when it came out. . .

Ok, what? If your having difficulty understanding why I made this poll, please re-read the title. Don’t waste my time on useless comments.

    I liked Bumblebee better.

The human was more enjoyable and let's face it a Transformers movie is going to end up with humans in it because the reaction to humans is a good way to show why the Autobots should be considered the good guys and why the Decepticons should be considered the bad guys. Doesn't hurt that the Decepticons in Bumblebee were shown as more just down right evil instead of perhaps they are just indifferent like they seemed in 07.

I thought they managed to get away from Bumblebee being a robotic yellow version of Snake Eyes from GI Joe. Bumblebee had more of that little guy who has to beat the odds vibe instead of it being a forgone conclusion that he would just wipe the floor with the Decepticons.

Also felt like there was an actual story going on rather than filler as we wait for the next explosion.

While I know being a fan doesn't always make for a better movie it was a nice little touch that the director felt like the director was a fan sharing his love of Transformers with his fellow fans rather than someone coming in taking over and if the fans don't like it well screw the fans. Just some really nice bits where you could go "one of us, one of us" if you ever get to see the director at a convention panel.

    Ok.
    Hey take it easy... Geez.

I just don't think those are big deals really.

Bumblebee's mouth is a pacifer. Well why wasn't this movie delayed again for a complete redesign like Sonic?

Sector 7 is in this. In name only... They can name the military organisation whatever they want. Who remembers?

That's not Blitzwing... Unless you are a hardcore Transformers fan then this is still minimal. That be like me pointing out that Ned Leeds in Spider Man Homecoming is Ganke Lee. But no one really cares as long as it's a 'fun' character.

Fives movies clearly built in an audience. One movie eventually signifies a worn out formula and Paramount got lucky with Bumblebee.

As I said in another thread.. The God of War game series was all about over the top crazy violence and Greek Mythology. And then when an entry like Ascension comes along, it made them go 'Oh wait... We gotta change things up for 2018'.

In other words, my criticisms don't lie on pandering to an audience nor does it lie on how faithful to the source material it is. My criticisms include objective filmmaking stuff like 'the story is pretty basic; this character isn't that great to this stuff...'

Actually... Have your opinion. I just think there are holes in it.

    Definitely Bumblebee for me.

Yup! The “final battle” between Prime and Megs felt like a big cop-out!

Just watched ‘Bee Tonight with the kiddos and it was better the second time. Watched 2007 with my son recently and it just doesn’t hold up well regardless of the amazing audio experience.

Bee has more heart and is a better transformers movie in my opinion. You could tell it was done by someone that grew up loving the franchise like most of us.

Bumblebee.....it was far closer to the tone of the Source Material, had more recognizable Character Designs, lacked the more adult humor of the Bayformer Movies and had, gasp, human characters that had more development then the last 5 Movies....... (my brain didn’t revolt over logic gaffes, like it did ROTF thru LK)
