Not fussed about a Matt or a gloss finish honestly but definitely no metallic and no weathering.
Don’t get me wrong, I own the limited edition weathered BadCube Wardog and he looks amazing, but his finish doesn’t fit at all with other MP’s. Definitely not with the current toon look or even the old expired MP mixed-source style. Weathering really doesn’t fit at all.

Upon research, no, there wasn't. Huh, would've sworn...

Anyway, however it works out if this metallic red is the final and only option then, no, not for me. He's a tank, not a sports car.

 

xtb did a translucent version of their cyclonus, could be that you're thinking of

The deco is annoying but everything else about it is fine (he is a little tall) so I’ll probably settle. He’s bot mode only for me so it’ll do.

Adding my voice that I'm disappointed in the bright metallic red finish, not as bad as Hunk's shiny puke green though.

 

Someone mentioned in the Hunk thread, but I wonder if the coloured shots that FT released are actually just colour layered on top of the prototype grey shots. The reds look way saturated, and Warpath isn't red - at best, he's a redder side of maroon. The metallic luster to the paint, I hope, is just an imaging artifact in the same way that Phoenix X isn't gilttery. Too much metallic luster makes smaller bots look "glittery" rather than shiny.

 

The colors are simulated. Not final colors.

Well that's great to hear but I still gotta see something that looks more like the final product before pre-ordering now.

It doesn't? To me, weathering on an old model tank that turns into a mechanical, metal warring robot makes more sense than a candy/metallic/pearl paint job. But, now I know better.

Wow. As much as I dislike the metallic finish for Warpath and Brawn, your coloring guy is pretty damn amazing. That looks like a 100% genuine metallic finish. I'm astounded by that level of coloring skill.

 

I've got Grinder and Koot but was let down by Hoodlum and sold him on pronto.

Jabber, Hulk, and Sheridan look really good but I'm going to wait and see reviews.

Don\'t care for the shiny metallic paint. Pass on  these in case they make a more matte version down the road.
