I love Chicago, really do. The city is amazing, beautiful and is overall a wonderful place to live. My dad works for the city, so it's a miracle to be in the center of the city at city hall.
But... you know that time comes later in life. You wanna move to another state. But where too?
I would most likely move to L.A. or New York in the future. I am seeking a career in acting, and these are popular spots for acting. Both are wonderful cities, excusing some areas. Plus import shops! But, it's pretty expensive to live, especially NYC.

 

Depending what the Internet services are like, I rather like the look of the Shetland Islands in Scotland.

 

As stated in another thread, June 11th I’m slated to move to Las Vegas, but if I could choose another place it would be Japan, specifically Tokyo. It’s been on my bucket list for years.

Actually I'd love to go back home to NW Indiana or better yet somewhere in Rhode Island. I know Quahog is there but ya know all joking aside just somewhere in that state. Lol

I lived in Vegas for 7 years. Fun for the ability to do anything at anytime of the day. Crap if you have kids (school system sucks and has one of the highest dropout rates). Summers are brutal also. Only times I did outdoor activities is in Spring and Fall. I live in the Far Northwest Suburbs of Chicago now. Worked downtown for 7 years before taking a remote working position

My goal is to move to Florida when the kids go to college or move out. My job I can work anywhere since I work from home. My retirement plan is to get a job at Disney and drive the water taxis.

Dream place I want to live. St Thomas. I'm a tropical weather person.

Don't have somewhere especially specific in mind. Generally, a small- to middle-sized city with some good restaurants. Mostly I don't want to live in a major city and have to deal with crowds and ludicrous costs of living. Why rent a hole-in-the-wall apartment for a grand or more a month when I could own a house with a yard? Not to mention nightmare commutes.
