I saw both in person last weekend (after ordering TE-01 from ShowZ). I was much more impressed with MS-01 compared to TE-01 live than in pictures.

I will say that the gray on the arms that shows from the back is very distracting (much like the issues with TR Prime). I'm not sure how often that will ever come up, but it's an odd looking part of the MS-01 figure that immediately struck me in person.

 

I'm pretty excited about getting my metallic MS-01 tomorrow or Saturday. I had the original and liked it overall but struggled to choose between it and TE-01 in hand because I'm not huge fan of the gray/white in place of silver/chrome and despite the matte finish looking nice it just didn't go with the other figures in my collection. This metallic version should take TE-01 out of the running for the "Prime Prime" position in my collection. I'll probably keep TE-01 just because it's a nice figure- though I still HATE the leg rotation being only at his knees which makes him look wonky posed- But he's great in the upright non-dynamic poses as a cartoony Prime...

 

Haven't personally ordered from them before but i've seen folks outside of Asia that ordered the NBK Megatron from them before and arrived without much hassle. If you look up the "NBK Combiner Wars (Cartoon) Megatron" thread and check out the last few pages, you will see that most orders arrived without much issue.

 

Yeah, my only real gripe with the figures. Haven't seen anyone mod either to get rid of the stripes.

 

Paint them.

 

If a stripe on the back of the arms is the price for having a stripe on the cab then I'm happy to pay it.

 

I guess it mostly depends on how you display the figure. If it's mostly in robot mode, dynamic poses v. static poses, or use of the truck.

 

Well, yeah. I was thinking of more creative options. A color matched sticker set or just carefully removing them altogether. Maybe even a thin shape ways cover.

 

Just opened up my white version of it. I'm glad they did a repaint because I had gone with TE-01 for prime, but was interested in playing with this mold. It's super fun to pose and has lots of character.

Bonus points for those that get the reference material below.

 

That was the photo that finally convinced me to go with this Prime over the Transform Element.

 

I'm in Australia and know of people that have ordered from there. No issues at all but can be slow to ship

i just paid for the x version from taobao. i dont have the original, but ill let you guys know what i think of it.

 

I got mine today  

 

My "X" Metallic version arrived today. Quite happy with it compared with the original I had. I myself prefer the metallic paint and added shine over the matte finish that looked pinkish quite often. The whole thing is a satin finish on the X with metallic flake in the paint. I also like the silver versus the gray on the original...

Got my MS01X delivered (props to showZ) here's some comparison shots. This is my 1st MP style and size prime.

 

Just checking out how solid yellow would lookloo his crotch area over the translucent plastic.
I myself prefer paint over translucent in that area.
I think it looks good. It's only yellow sticker paper atm. Will eventually paint it.

 

I don’t understand why MS just couldn’t paint the kneecap metallic too. It is so distracting due to the contrast.

They did the same with the white version too. Just plain laziness.
