No, They have only killed Brainstorm so far. I was saying if those other deaths happened than Tarn must be an IDW editor.

 

Oh. But Brainstorm being dead is bad enough. He did get a fair share of exposure in MTMTE, but killing him before the tenth issue is a bit much. Hopefully the other MTMTE guys and the other lesser-known G1 characters fare better.

 

To me so far nothing about this current book is even par with Jame's Robert's "Chaos Theory", Megatron Origin's or even the "Autocracy" Trilogy (the first 2 anyway).
Which they've gotta know that's what it's competing with.

 

I haven't read any of it, so I can't say. But what I've seen gave me the impression it's pretty much a continuation in terms of style, characters focused on, and writing of the John Barber's book.
And I really have no desire to read something like that again.

 

I wanna be disappointed they\'re doing another non-Unicron-origin G1 Cyclonus, but I had already decided to skip this reboot so idk if this really effects me.

Scourge: But I'm your friend 'Clonus! I was there with you knee-deep in all that oil and gears. I covered your ass more than once. Seems like baling you out of trouble's got to be a life-time achievement for me.

Cyclonus: There wouldn't be no trouble except for that king slag cop! All I wanted was something to eat. But she kept pushing Sir.

Scourge: Well you did some pushing on your own Cyclonus.

Cyclonus: They drew first blood, not me.

 

I haven't read it either. I hated Barbers work in Unicron and OP and nothing in this reboot is getting hyped to buy the 1st TPB to it.

 

I don't mind Galvatron, Cyclonus and the Sweeps being separate entities than Megs, Skywarp and Insecticons. But having ties to Unicron still would be cool. It also broadens the TF universe IMO.

Instead it just seems from the sneak peaks that they're just slapping popular names in this prequel with nothing really relevant to do besides being whipping boys for female Autobots that many people don't care about in the first place.... You know Windblade and Chromia are going to live through this which only leads to Cyclonus being screwed in the end.

Don't even care if it's different. Cyclonus should be more of threat and have a deeper role, period!

 

I can never see "Clonus" without thinking of Parts: The Clonus Horror.

This. I was going to buy the TPB, but I saw it on pre-order on Comixology for over 20 bucks. Nope. Then I'll probably just skip this continuity completely.
