My opinion would be to wait for the archive release. I'm pretty sure the figures are identical, and I don't consider the exclusive packaging to be worth what they are probably going to sell for online in the aftermarket. It might be worth it to some diehards, fair enough, you'll have to decide that for yourself!
Sometimes I can regret some figures I purchase only for show. When I think about it, some say if I buy it for the packaging. They'll day you are purchasing a lot for a box?
Technically, yes. But at the end of the day, your opinion is the only one that matters when it comes to spending your own money. Unless you are married...in which case you buy it anyway and just don't say anything...Lol.
I try my best to work out my finances. Also with purchasing for Box, I know I won't regret it if I can find a way to get SDCC 2019 Boba Fett.
Vintage/TFA molds are too small/outdated for me. I wasn't too fond of the POTF Xwing I got in 97. Much happier with my 2006 Dagobah and 2011 Trench Run X-Wing. It's the proportions and gimmicks that sold me on the larger mold. The retractable targeting system in the latter is awesome. However, I too, am wary of how much a new X-wing that size would cost, be it OT or Poe's TFA/TLJ X-Wing. However I might make an exception for Poe's... Seems like the recent Walmart ROTJ playset is good bang for the buck, hopefully a new X-Wing won't cost too much but the odds are against it S.H. Figuarts Return of the Jedi Darth Vader and A New Hope Stormtrooper - The Toyark - News Ack, Vader would've been a must if the skirt was cloth instead of PVC
Agreed man! I got the Dagobah version and I so regret not picking up the Trench Run version... I always thought that Hasbro would reissue it but I assumed incorrectly.
Tell me about it. I hope Hasbro puts a limit on the 6 inch Vintage Style Boba Fett that is coming out at SDCC. Oh . There will be riots.
I hear you. I guess I’d rather have the vehicles be in scale to one another than the figures to vehicles. The BMF works well in scale to the vintage X-Wing molds but not the newer ones. That said, I do appreciate the Dagobah X-Wing for what it is. Just hard to envision a small squadron of them from a play sense.
I'm happy with PotF X-Wing. Scale doesn't matter so to me as just having a nice display piece. Especially for franchises like Star Wars that I'm on the fringes about. I was very surprised BS drew me in the way it did, but now see I've got way too much to display and a lot that I don't want to (looking at all those NT figures that drastically marked down and Solo figures.
Trench Run X-Wing was actually repainted for TRU as Biggs' X-Wing. Compared to the Dagobah version, the fuselage is a little thicker but not too out of proportion. Overall it's a lot easier to fit a pilot figure in too since the cockpit panel is tethered. So Jek Porkins can fit in easily. That's the thing though, the 2006/2011 big X-Wings blow away the POTF X-wing as a display piece. I am VERY surprised Hasbro hasn't brought back Action Fleet. That's a line I would pick up(unless it followed the trend of the substantial price increases since 2013).
Ditto. Action fleet was awesome. I remember being an avid micro machine collector mid 90s and begrudgingly getting action fleet sets for christmas one year. My mind was blown. And they honestly weren't that incompatible anyways.
I don't get it. Target actually had that trash compactor Luke. Then I look on eBay and they're selling for less than retail with free shipping. Is there a money laundering aspect to this that I haven't picked up on yet? If anybody needs one at cost I can stop there again tomorrow but why if they're so cheap on eBay.
They said the character's name is Zorri Bliss. Rumored as like the new Boba fett of the sequel trilogy. Interesting?
Hard to say. But I predict she will not be in the first wave or the first episode 9 Lego sets, but maybe the second wave.
