So I just got this guy and I'm finding his right leg is really really floppy and he can barely stand up in full armour mode. It's a pin joint and I don't really know how to fix that so should I return it and gamble on getting one that's less floppy?

I don't know why, but I really like the inner white Prime a lot, even more so than the fully armored Magnus (but the full thing is fantastic).

Thanks for answering. Sooo that can help with a pin joint? I thought that was just for ball joints?

Either way, I have a new one coming tomorrow and the old one is getting picked up! Amazon are pretty good about returns.

Future is for any type of joint really. I've used it on ball joints, pins, rivets, any type of friction joint, etc. What's extra awesome about it is due to it's liquid state, it can get into any crevice needed.

That is one of the biggest pros why I will always love the Armored UM. Whenever I get tired of the armored mode, I stripped it off and displayed him in the white Magnus robot cab form. With all the armored pieces laid down next to his feet, it looks so cool. The Armor UM is like the Iron Man of Marvel but with a Captain America mindset being a soldier boy.

I've had this guy on the shelf for the last month, but I got him back down for some fiddling. Its still a really great figure, especially the inner robot (too bad the Galaxy Prime has that new dumpy looking chest).

One thing about the inner bot though, does anyone else feel like the head is too far back? Its not in line with his spine/ hips at all. Kind of an awkward placement.

Edit: had some free time, so I designed a new neck. Gonna print it out and see if it fixes what's bugging me.

I'm considering adding a titan master port on the underside so I can try using the Titan Master Magnus head.

Edit 2: the new neck makes a difference for sure. It’s not obvious in the pictures, but it makes him seem less fat and more heroic. Really happy with how it turned out.

I think his head is fine where it's at.

Look at it from the side. The head and neck are positioned behind his hips. The human body does not work that way.

You can argue that because he is a robot his neck can be wherever, which is fine. I personally prefer more human proportions and physiology, so I fixed it.

There’s nothing wrong with liking him the way he is, it was just something that bugged me personally

I hate forced ankle tilts. Reminds me of the shitty He-man figures of the 80s, I hate forced poses.

Hrm... doesn't look like Takara's version will differ. Really hoping for one without "molded" ankles...

As far as I can tell, there won't be any differences between Hasbro and Takara for any of the siege line.

They wouldn't have changed the ankles anyway. The design isn't just a stylistic choice, it is due to the way the wheels and wheel frames on the outside of the feet are constructed - without significant, and thus expensive, re-working of the entire leg / back-end of the trailer, it cannot be modified in the way you want.

20190520_020009.jpg Feels like I'm playing with legos. But yea, the molded Bent toes, does not help when using the 5mm pegs on the bottom of the feet, which sit ar a different angle.

Well, I happened upon a completely loose in the box UM at my WM. Got the. Manager to sell him for voyager price, figured I take the shot.

He is an absolute horror to put into alt mode. I'm guessing whomever bought got so frustrated they returned him. Nothing broken on the figure though. I wouldn't have bought him at normal retail, but couldn't pass after a discount.

That said, love the parts former boy mode, will definitely do the knee mode. Only other complaint is that he suffers from UM syndrome, where the bulk of the figure was always limited articulation and poses.

And love the RID callback for the alt mode.

Knee mod? I went back a few pages to see if I could find it, you don’t mean getting those thigh extensions?
