Doesn't it also see good numbers in those Scholastic book fairs at elementary schools?

I guess the problem I had with those 5 issues was that it could have been condensed to 2 issues. Did we really need to see Mary Jane go clubbing or lounging around every issue?

Then again, the slow pacing seems the norm these days.

Yes there is a novel series out also. They said it's not getting canned due to sales but due to they told all the stories they wanted to tell and want to end before it jumps the shark. The trades will still be in print. Tv shows do this also.

I'm kind of surprised Marvel didn't just hand off Squirrel Girl to a new creative team, but I respect their decision to end it for those reasons.

Still reading it. I enjoy it but I was hooked from the first issue so not sure what to say. I actually enjoyed the stuff with Jocasta so no comment there, but Machine Man only really seemed ok the last two issues. So it's getting better? Arno is slowly becoming part of the cast so isn't likely to get another #5 if that is a concern. Suppose it works once but I'd definitely feel different if that was a regular thing. The latest issue could be setting them up for a smaller role but Jocasta at least is in the #15 solicit.
Just going to start off with one of the many, many obvious variations of an obvious, obvious joke.

I knew Marvel #1000 was just ripping off DC!

Anyway, solicit sounds like one large story which probably works better but I wonder whether the "Dan Slott" page is going to be that different from the "Gail Simone" one. Maybe I'm in anyway but I'm not sure there's a right way to do a small book with so many creators.

EDIT: Oh hey Tony is in Loki. A theory about his role post-WOTR has me hopeful for that series but that's a good way to get me to buy a book anyway.

hahahaha. Well, mistakes happen, so I'm not going to criticize or humiliate the cover creator, just means they have to be more careful when looking up material.
    As for the cover itself:
*I'm surprised they have Red Sonja on there. A significant part of their history, yes, but also licensed by Dynamite now.
*If they're going to have a suggestive, large image of White Queen, I'd gone with Frank Quitely's big splash page of Emma in that X-Bra from "New X-Men".

Like most artificial reality tales, it blurred the lines of existence and left Stark wondering who or what he was. Those things are always a bad idea because they can be hacked and broken into/out of.

I did like the 60s artwork in the eScape sequence though.

Decades of classic moments in marvel universe history and an obligation gay kiss scene had to be one of them. Makes it so much better that it wasn't even an iconic moment but just a random internet searched gay kiss just to be progressive.

    Good catch DC fans.

Actually happy they’re re releasing Inferno.....I think one of the first X Team Crossovers......where the two Main Teams met up (X-Factor was mentioned in Mutant Massacre, at least Wolverine smelling Jean’s scent and Cyke’s Optic Blast being seen, but the two teams didn’t interact, and show up in their own story in Fall of the Mutants, as X-Factor was fighting Apocalypse the first time, but Inferno was the first time they met team to team)

I kinda hope they relaunch X-Factor, with the Original Team......(if they don’t have either the Flagship title or the second Main X Team Book)

Hilarious. I wonder if it will lead to one of Marvel's famous recalls/pulpings like whenever lazy ass editors let something through.

Well luckily for Marvel, the title is still in the solicits level, so looks like they won’t have to. That said, I echo @Mudslide ’s sentiments - it certainly looks like they have no editors.

That would be an interesting idea considering how the characters have evolved from the late 80s. Last I recall, Hank is still not happy with Scott. Jean may be willing to patch things up with Scott since they're still formally married?

That’s true, though Hank toasted Scott (with the rest of the surviving Original Team) the end of Extermination........Scott and Jean obviously still love each other, Scott constantly still thinking of her both when he was with Emma and even now (though that’s more the fact he didn’t see her or the rest of the team before their disappearance), and Jean still considered Scott her husband.......so there’s always a Chance.........

Hickman did say the theme of his run was the family you didn’t know you had (so extended, substitute family themes) that would love you no matter what......so maybe the rest of the team would come around and not be ticked with Cyclops, while Scott and Jean patch things up completely (without either of them dying).......I just wonder if Uncanny #22 would be when all this happens or would it occur off panel (initially) in Hickman’s Run......

maybe you know this....for some reason i have it in my head that conan doesn't use weapons like a bow and arrow or crossbows. i feel like in a comic or something he considered it weak and cowardly that's why he always used hand held weapons like swords or clubs or what have you. if i'm right then wouldn't he have the same feeling about guns?
