I'm not super familiar with all of the comics, Transformers or Ghostbusters, so i might not be in the right here but...

Is it just me, or does the art look a little lack-luster? Characters seem a little flat and poses are a tad strange throughout the previews we've been seeing. Faces look strange and perspective just seems to be a little bit wonky across the board

I agree. It’s very cartoony but feels uninspired.

I think it's the individuality that sets the crossover's charm. We already got to see the Saturday morning Cartoon characters with the Star Trek Vs TransFormers miniseries, and the LSD trip of Scioli's TF vs GIJoe comic. The IDW Ghostbusters comic has its own style, but with never having read the books before, you know it's based on the classic 80's movie characters, and "REAL" Ghostbusters cast in a situation nobody would ever hope to have experienced, with overly cartoonish exagerated features...

    ..
Meanwhile, I'm just now seeing how Nick's cover artwork for Ectotron is reflected in the figure.. I didn't realize he didn't have a nose seeing the prototype figure, until there's more in hand pictures.

Well yeah it’s cartoony. But it doesn’t spring out to me or look that great. I don’t sense the effort.

Wait Nick did a cover? Where is it at?

Oh that’s his one. I thought he did another. Yeah he gets the toon look right. If he did the whole comic it’d be better.

Okay im done dancing around it, this doesnt look good. The idea? Wonderful. The character casting? Slick as hell. The art itself? Super bland. That's the big thing i think, its not terrible, i can tell whats going on in a clear and sensible manner, but none of it is interesting to look at. Every robot face looks emotionless and samey, all the human characters look stilted as heck, and no one is holding a pose that doesn't look awkward as sin. It feels manufactured in the worst way. Im a huge fan of ghost Starscream, Ghost in the Machine is my favorite g1 episode, so it pains me to say I'm going to be hard passing this one up.

It’s like the opposite of the main series comics. They’re emotional convincing but the consistency is ass.

This awesome art is unused? Not a variant issue cover? Sucks.

I can’t believe this wasn’t used! Looks pretty awesome, although it looks like a combo of actual illustration and photoshop trickery for the heads of the ghostbusters. I’d of purchased this one.

I believe this will be the closest we’ll get to a live action Ectotron.

Finally! Dialogue for the first four pages!

It looks like the reason the Decepticons never went to earth is because Gozer’s emissary arrived right as the Decepticons were about to board the Nemesis and they stayed behind to investigate.

I have a feeling “Ghosts of Cybertron” may be pretty literal and that Gozer might just plunge Cybertron into several million years of darkness. All life extinguished. Everyone who stayed behind converted into shells for otherworldly demons or killed and made into ghosts.

I’m betting only Starscream is immune to Gozer (mutant spark) and so Starscream’s Ghost comes to earth seeking the Autobots’ aid in stopping Gozer. Of course, he’ll probably doublecross them.

Adding to possible rights issues, I think he actually used the Blitzway 1:6 figures, and photo edited them. That looks like the Blitzway Venkman head and slightly off uniform colors.
