i do love the IF version of the Lambros and I am definitely taking a look at IF every now and then. But you said it yourself, there are some people who wants the G1 alt mode, and I couldn't even understand my obsession with this, because I won't be displaying Sideswipe, Red Alert, and hopefully soon, Sunstreak, in their alt modes  

 

But knowing that the alt mode looks the way you want it is enough or else we would buy non transforming, but very accurate (cartoon or comic), representations of the Transformers in robot mode.

 

If only they offered non-transforming, but highly accurate legends scale figures!!! I’ve been asking for this, exactly, for ages. And at legends scale, just give me a second toy in the box that is the non transforming alt mode. Please someone, anyone.

 

I think it'd be even cooler if they found a way to make one figure that can be either the robot or the alt mode. Oh wait.

 

I transform my bots all the time - I guess thats where transformers is the collection I have the most fun with. And at that, I must say that MST sideswipe is really great, just has tiny wheels (same as their Trailbreaker, wish the wheels where bigger). But well even if you don´t transform, alt mode is reflected on the bot so you can never look at IF and imagine they turn into a countach... maybe that is the key to your obssession -^.^-

 

i guess you're right. there is always an expectation how certain things will look like depending on the form. i guess in some ways form follows function applies here. i just remembered having a hard time with my Optimus Prime Furai kit. i was attempting to do an Ultra Magnus (minus the armour) mockup of it in Photoshop and I was having a hard time determining which parts I should paint teal or blue, and was focusing on how or where those parts will end up in alt-mode that I abandoned the idea altogether.

 

Yes I know. But its still an option.

 

I ordered and received Magic Square MB 04 Transporter (Ultra Magnus) from EBay seller Coldplay, who has a very reputable score with many reviews. The box art on the sides and back was black and white with panel lining rather than the usual colored photos. Anyone know why the box is different?

I’m not home to take photos and There wasn’t any mention of the order being a KO of the MS version. The quality seems to be good but it’s also my first MS figure.

 

i dont have the figure or one near by. but dont worry about it being a ko. no one is making that MS mags in the small size. but from what i remember the MS boxes aren't anything fancy.

 

Exactly, I´ve drawn a few original TFs and I always made them to look like they could transform, even the Animated version of my OC. That Furai model always bothered me exactly because it doesn´t look like it transforms at all aside from the wheels... now the IDW one caught my attention - it has a proper grill, chest windows which look like windows and the more blocky shape tells me more it is a truck even if that model still won´t transform;

 

I had my reservations, but she is adorable..

 

she is simply the best. i know the IF lady bots get slept on so much because of their chibi-ness. but they have all been great little bots.

Honestly all they need are smaller heads and they would look fine. They are still pretty fun and I have a few of them

 

I think they look fine just as they are. IF Windblade's chibiness is why I bought her and she opened the floodgates for my collecting legends.

 

Turned the TVM OS Iron Factory Screamer into Pretender Starscream. Super lazy custom, but it came out just how I wanted
