I got a complete case of the Series 2 5-packs from Entertainment Earth today.

I don’t know if this is new news or not (it’s not something I’ve seen before), but straight from the unopened case, all the packs had the Lost Bot ‘flaps’ taped over.

I guess so many people are stealing Botbots from stores by opening up the coloured bubble and pocketing the figures, that Hasbro have responded by making the flaps more securely sealed.

Target got a restock on Series 2 8-packs... of course by the time I saw it one each Spoiled Rottens and Swag Stylers had already gone. Let's try this dance again, see if I can get TP Itch and Hawt Mess this time, and I'll give you guys first crack at the surplus. @combinerlover if I get the Cantuna pack and you don't already have it by then, you get first crack at it in particular.

 

I hope that bit of tape deters people from opening these things. My Target got a fresh case and within a week the box was filled with torn-open packets. Few, if any, were actually stolen, but still.

Said Target got rid of them all one way or another now that they're revamping the store. I wonder if anyone bought them or if they were just thrown out?
Or maybe they still have them and are gonna put them right back out whenever they decide to restock (they're down to the TP Itch set and a couple of blindpacks, hope they get more stuff out soon)

 

According to all the Targets in my area, they've dropped the 8-packs, no more coming. Getting tons of Series 2 five-packs... thinking next time I just hit the Easy Button with Entertainment Earth and list anything that doesn't fit "targeted acquisitions" here for you guys.

 

I actually have an extra of the pack with all three of them in it. But am not sure what I'm looking to do.

 

Yeah, finally found my TP Itch, got em on Ebay for six bucks... The seller actually was kind enough to unlist it and hold it for me for a few days.. I believe hes series 2 Grit sandwood and cuddletooth.. , now all i actually lack is Mocklate, King Candyhooves, Prince Perfumious, Big Cantuna and Holey Moldy..

 

So, uh, how wanted is the Swag Stylers 8-pack with TP Itch? Wondering if I should get the set for trades here or not, ideally without splitting it up...

 

That wasn't the case with any Botbots Series 2 packs I received, and I got all mine indirectly via retail (via eBay). Could be an EE thing.

 

I've been scouring every Walmart and Target that I know of in search of that pack... I've got tons of multiples for trade, if that's the route you'd like to go.

 

Yeah, definitely possible.

That said, it looked like it was a sealed case (which made me think it was a Hasbro thing), and the case of 8 packs that Entertainment Earth sent me a few weeks ago didn’t have the tape.

I assume Hasbro's adjusting things as they go along. I've seen newer cases of Series 1 with the numbers printed on them instead of penciled on, the way Series 2 does it. Adding tape seems like it'd be a late fix after stores/customers complain about thefts.

 

I found new cases lately of the series 2 singles and 5 packs that have the tape on the flaps on back.

 

I cant spesk for everyonw, but i havent been able to find him, nor have a few others ive spoken too.. Tjat one swag stylers 8 pack is the only way for a completionest to have them all... Its a must buy, as is the swag stylers 8 paxk with Mocklate.

No worries, I'm still looking for the pack with Cantuna and Holey Moldey in it for ya. The target by me that had them was cleared out when I went today, so I'll have to check my other stores that I've seen them at. I always keep 2 of each mold, one for alt mode, one for robot mode, so that's why I'm looking for a second one.

 

The blind packs are the ones that are always torn open at my stores. Half the box is missing when I get to them.

 

Yeah I just picked up an 8 pack from Target and it had the tape on it

 

"So the carded Botbots we have in the back aren't a bunch of fancy back scratchers? Man,we've been using them wrong the entire time."

 

Candyhooves, look for Single #4. PP... well, we'll see what I have Friday and if there's anything I can do for ya.

 

Idea for two Playroom Posse characters
Soundwave Jr - A G1 Soundwave style toy suffering from Buzz LIghtyear syndrome ie He believes he is the real Soundwave.
Lil Blaster - He knows he was a toy and revels in the fact. He loves to hang out with the Music Mob.

The transformation would be similar to G1 Soundwave with the legs folding down from the side, the arms folding out from there back and the head flipping up. I wouldn't mind if they were the same mold with just different heads.
