See I see this stuff about 3rd party add ons, but how would they work?

 

None of us have a crystal ball for an unreleased figure, but 3rd party add ons tend to be pretty inventive.

Honestly would gladly take a complete foot swap kit. I tend not to transform mine too often just due to the sheer amount that I own, so a show accurate foot would work for me.

 

Well, we won't know how the 3p parts would work until we actually have mp-45 in hand to see where improvements can be made. If things are to a point with it that it cannot be tinkered with to make "better" we are stuck with what it is, a seemingly incomplete bot that only looks decent from straight on with a chibi alt mode. I guess people people can do to this like they did With X-Transbots Toro and take off the car pieces hanging off the back to look more animation accurate.

 

Off the top of my head and with my 0 engineering knowledge you could simply do a boot to slot the feet into that covers all the gaps in the feet. Parts forming, sure, but a simple solution for Bot mode.

I have confidence that others will come up with more intelligent solutions once they have it in hand. that one would do for me. Hell, might even just paint a piece of card and slot it in, lol.

 

I wouldn't be against a 3P add on for this. I actually think the ones for Ironhide/Ratched were amazing and really enhance the look on them (IMO, at least). The Van bros are still amazing figures though.

They would have to be functional, though. Just like the ones I mentioned. I don't go for the "only for display" solution thing.

 

So what's the guess on more pics of this guy? Isn't there a toyfest in June?

 

That could work actually. Depending on how the feet connect.

Well taking off parts kinda defeats the point of the figures you buy.

That probably might happen. I was also suspecting people would mod their figures. Maybe the feet parts can turn into a surfboard which pegs on top. I’d buy that.

I still need to get those kits. My ratchet needs to stretch out once in a while!

 

Honestly don’t know if I can ever justify putting so much money into a figure.

Optimus v3 isn't going to feel complete to me until this lil feller's in hand. Super pumped! Gonna feel so great having my favorite pre-movie Autobots (Optimus, Bumblebee, Wheeljack, and Ironhide) in poseable anime form for the holidays this year. Already thinking about them all lit up by Christmas lights!

 

For me Hound, mirage, jazz, prowl, Bluestreak and Sunstreaker.
