This is a general discussion about what you consider to be the worst TF shows/comics/characters, to the best. Personally in my opinion Prime, and Animated are the best. Try to be civil, and don't argue.

The worst TF shows in my opinion are RID and all the Machinima series. RID as a sequel to prime is a mockery of it's legacy. All the characters are annoying and bland, and no one can get hurt. I recommend watching DImondbolt's Ruined forever series if you want to hear more about it. The Prime wars trilogy had promis but squandered it with mediocre story and characters. Also the lack of characters.

 

Why do we have countless copies of the same thread?

Anyways, Animated and Beast Wars are my favorites. Worst in my opinion is the Machinima trilogy.

Honestly, I love it all but the original is what gives me the most warm feelings.

IMO, newer fans probably shouldn’t be expected to comb through 20 years worth of threads...especially when new material comes along that’s relevant. Some of these topics are ok to bring up again and this one is fair game.

 

What. Not even remotely true. Beast Machines is still in the top 5.

I know, but we have a very three very similar threads in the cartoon discussion from the past month or so.

Anyhow, I don't want to bog down this thread with my complaining, so I'll just stop.

 

I've only watched four Transformers shows in their entirety recently as of the writing of this, and have only just started another.

However if I had to say my best and worst, then my best would be Beast Wars and my worst, though I've only seen four episodes of it, would be Armada.

I don't know why, but Armada is failing to hook me the same way the previous four shows did. I really hope it grows on me!

 

Of the series I've seen from start to finish (which I think at the moment consists only of G1, Masterforce, Beast Wars and Beast Machines) the best would be Beast Wars and the worst is G1.

I recall most of the Unicron Trilogy to be pretty boring and repetitive though. Somewhat nostalgic for Armada but still hesitant to try to finally watch those all the way through...

 

Best is Animated, hands down. Beast Wars is a close second.

I personally don't think the machinima series was worse than energon.

 

The best of Transformers (my opinion):
G1, Animated, Prime, Episode 6 of Cyberverse, MTMTE, Marvel UK, Fall of Cybertron, Beast Wars, and Victory.

The Worst of Transformers:
TLK, Lost Light (and most of the last 2-3 years of IDW), Headmasters, PW Trilogy, Beast Wars II, RID, RID2015, and G2

Best Transformers Characters:
TFA Prowl, TFA Optimus, TFA Shockwave/rest of TFA, Prime Ratchet and Fowler, Star Saber, Sari Sumdac, Armada Starscream, Dinobot, Primal, IDW Hot Rod and Megatron, G1 Combaticons, All Cheetors, and IDW Pipes.

Worst Transformers Characters:
G1 Gears, Huffer, Galvatron, Wheelie, and Danial, Beast Machine Primal, Unicron Trilogy Cyclonus, and all of energon's cast, TFA Headmaster and The Crimson Chin, Most of the Prime cast (minus Ratchet, Knockout, Soundwave), Everyone in RID2015, Cyberverse Prime's voice actor (seriously man, stop trying to imatate Cullen) and Acid Storm (pick a gender already!)

 

IDW Phase 2, Animated, and Prime are the best IMHO. I also love Victory+Zone a great deal. Oh and Bumblebee.

G1 is objectively woeful but it's lovably naff.

Machinema and the ugliness of the Bay movies avails them none in my eyes.

I’m currently watching Energon and it’ll probably take 3rd or 4th

 

If you didn't watch Armada-Energon-Cybertron as a kid, those three will make you sterile if you watch them for the first time through grown up eyes.   

Just sayin'.  

The toys are pretty sweet though.

Hmm... For best I'd go with Beast Machines, followed by Beast Wars, Prime and Animated. For worst... I have Soft spot for Energon, so not that. Dunno, Armada never managed to hook me in, neither did RID. The original G1 cartoon is really bad, too, though it's redeemed a bit by the movie, which rocks.

i havent seen every episode of every show but today my worst are Beast Wars , Beast Machines and RiD2015 .
My favourites are TFP , TFA and Beast Wars 2 .

 

Why? Everyone had their tastes.
