Ditto. He looks good but I just haven’t been able to talk myself into being OK with the price. The value just doesn’t seem to be there.

 

Has anyone ever really saved a significant amount by doing the AJ gift card method or are people only doing that to avoid the entire cost at once?

I can't imagine you'd save a lot unless the yen really tanked.

 

I only started doing the “gift card payment plan” recently, and for me it’s not about saving on the overall cost but about lessening the impact of having the full cost due at time of release.

 

Guys and gals, remember how Bb ver 1 was excoriated over the coals but is now well respected(derpy face not withstanding)? Once you get version 2 a little bit of personal interaction, y'all will change your reluctance to this new mold.

Same with IH (again, those side panels which some(not all of us dislike)notwithstanding.

Heck, until now, I'm still flabbergasted(in a good way) on how Takara implemented their voodoo magic on Sunstreaker and Inferno (and IH)

Just my kind of tffan! Agree on Oshima and Sakamoto. Oshima is awesome drawing the figs in toy mode yet mechanically realistic (also love the KP gals, if anyone understands anime, then they'll get it).

Sakamoto too, gawd! How he interconnected all those various G1 universes into one cohesive storyline.....amazing!(Art not too shabby too!)

Just cancelled my MP-44 PO because i'm preparing to get married in august so the money is needed there...although i can sink in the cash for bee v2 ...ghehehhehehehehe....hopefully the misses doesn't kill me before the wedding

My main issue with this 2.0 is that it's all but a guarantee that there will also be a V 3.0 considering all the visible shortcomings of this one. We all know damn well that they'll find a way to improve/fix those stupid feet and make the alt mode look less like a gaping puzzle... so I don't see a big point in even bothering with this one, myself. It's "improved", I guess, but it's not the night & day difference from, say, MP-10 to MP-44.

 

The only thing certain is a third party will come with a fix for those feet just like how some third party came up with a fix for Ironhide/Ratchet side panels.

No. Well, not any year remotely soon anyway. I think their 2.0 was everything they wanted it to be, and Prime 3.0 is happening specifically because of Megs 2.0.

Bumblebee 1.0 almost seems like it should have come out during the first era of MP's given how incredibly off it is in bot mode and coloring, while 2.0 looks like it should have been an original figure in the reboot era that started with MP-10. Just imo, it's simply not good enough to release now - it looks like a revised prototype that still needs a lot of work, but they decided to release it anyway.
