    Ha ha, Zing!
It was... a can of cyber-worms?
Cheers! I never had Sixshot (don't even think he made it to UK shores) but that scene from Rebirth always impressed me.
    Ssshh keep it quiet
There are about a dozen frames where I had to manually Photoshop pictures of gun-mode Sixshot into the outstretched hands of Cyclonus. To try and sell it a bit more I then added some movement blur as he swings the gun around, which helps take the edge of it.
Anything that involves characters in mid-air is extra hassle!

It was like having a cyber-tiger by the robo-tail.

Maybe we're beating a non-functional cyber-horse now... we should let sleeping cyber-dogs lie...

In fact what the heck does 'shooting ducks in a barrel' mean anyway?! Isn't it fish in a barrel, because they can't escape, whereas ducks can fly away :lol

I think the bits that amuse me the most about the Sixshot transformation sequence are the wolf-to-truck and truck-to-spacefighter transformations, both of which would would require the toy to rotate 180 degrees, but the animation makes it look more like Sixshot just turns inside-out.

Yeah, since I never had the original toy I never realised that cheat until it came to doing the gif. Cheated it as best as I could to mimic the toon transformation...

Ok so I have the watch thread icon clicked so how come I didn't come across this post for two weeks?!?!

Still, seeing more of your divine works is always a good thing. You put the GIF in Gift, good sir!

Nice to see Season 3 characters benefit from your talents.

By the way, any update on Target: 2006?

Thanks, yeah I haven't really done much season 3/4 stuff. Not a single season 3 YT vid! Maybe because back in the day the UK only showed s1 on telly. To see anything beyond that you had to either have satellite tv or buy/rent the selection of episodes put out on VHS. Rebirth was one of the tapes I did have (actually I won it in a competition in the UK comic!) so it's still a favourite. And ultimately my choice of gifs/vids is mainly nostalgia-driven.

As for Target: 2006, I really ought to get back into it. Hit a bit of a brick wall with the audio and haven't touched it for quite a while...
    Cheers!

Growing up in Ireland, we could pick up the English stations. I remember watching Season 1 on the Roland Rat show and Wacaday.

Like yourself, only season 2 and 3 stuff I saw was on video.

I remember seeing that Headmasters video competition in the UK comic. I won Countdown and his rocket base in the Christmas issue which was also issue 250.

Unfortunately it was the one competition where they didn't print the names of the winners so when I mentioned it to someone at TFNation last year, they didn't believe me.

Still on a lighter note, it's always nice to chat to a fellow fan of the G1 UK comic.

    For TCracker.

There was no colour changing or rippling aurora in the original toon scene, but I felt it needed more than just a pulsing energy-grave to work as a gif.

That is way too awesome!!! I love how smoothly you make the flying look as well as Soundwave walking. Not an easy task to undertake. I still wish I had the patience to do some of these, but luckily you already do them. Thanks for sharing as always!
