I doubt it. The Bandai models are overall slowing down and becoming little more than retools or redecoes, with no actual new characters or ships in some time.

Could've been something great, but they really half-assed it with the limited selection of characters.

Anybody else's Targets suddenly stuffed with Solo Chewy now that BBTS has them for 12 bucks?

My Targets were ALWAYS stuffed with Solo Chewy. It's kind of like death, it's inevitable and forever.

It’s been my experience that Targets have either none or they have 2+ pegs stuffed with them. No in-between. It might be fun to army build those guys...you could apply washes and highlights in different shades quite easily just to get some variety between each one.

Now that I think about it, yes, that's what it is. When that "escape from Bespin" Leia finally showed up, that's all they had for a few weeks. Chewy just came and went too until he started resurfacing. It's frustrating, because between Black Series and Marvel Legends, Hasbro puts out like 200 figures a year and I swear I only ever see the same dozen or so from the half of the waves they don't skip. While Targets have an entire case of Chewy with maybe a Maz or Snoke mixed in, Walmarts have two or three stragglers from the first Solo wave marked $14.92 that are positively caked in dust. If I want anything else, I have to pay damned near $35 online, what with tax, shipping, and tax again.

Has anyone ever seen anything from the Vintage series past Wave 1 at Target? It boggles my mind that they cannot seem to get any newer waves in.

Picked up the new Stormtrooper Han yesterday and I think the highlight was just being able to walk in and pick him up easily. No Brickseek, no early morning visits, no need to call 5 stores, no putting things on hold, etc. If only all toy collecting was that easy.

I've seen all of the currently released ones and they all tend to shelfwarm here.

Nope, they're all stuffed with bathrobe Snoke, same as Walmart.

I only ever saw Enfys Nest and Solo Han once in stores and didn’t have the funds to pick them up. I’ve never seen Aphra or any of the recent waves. I’m on a very tight budget for the moment so it’s been painful to see so many great figures (not to mention the Jabba’s Palace playset) hit and not be able to do anything about it. I really hope stock is still available at reasonable prices when I have more funds.

I think the Chewbaccas are a separate DCPI code from the other figures since they are exclusives. What's probably happening is people buying him for $12 on BBTS & if their receipt is in the return period, returning the ones they bought at Target to the store. Might even be some 'no receipt' returns.

Seems most stores around me are clogged to the gills with the Solo first wave figures. Han, Lando & even the Stormtrooper guy. Seems the trooper would sell better as a troopbuilder that looks cool.

I do wish Target would stop using DCPI numbers for lines and just go by UPC. What seems to happen is some store has figures marked cheap and people buy them. Then they buy the more desirable (or brand new) at Target then return the pegwarmers they bought cheap with the Target receipt. Hence, pegs clogged with figures that never sell. I can STILL get an army of Jyn Ersos & Casian Andors.

I just saw the Vanity Fair piece. It looks like there are a lot of awesome new character designs in this one!

You may get your wish, I can confirm that the new retro figures all have separate dcpi and the new marvel legends X-men wave does, will see if other lines do.

So I know that we still do not know what form the upcoming X-Wing will take but am I in the complete minority of hoping it is a new tool and not a reissue of the big one from the last 8 years? I love my big version for what it is, but I cannot see how a reissue would work in today’s market. Am I wrong?

I would really prefer something in close scale to the vintage version or the TFA version with updated tooling for the cockpit and a great paint job. It would still cost more than ideal but would likely still be in the $40-50 range.

    Thoughts?

Eyes? You got lucky to have it at all. Did you get it from Hasbro Pulse?
