Movies In The Park Starts This Thursday Featuring 'Bumblebee' MOVIES IN THE PARK STARTS THIS THURSDAY FEATURING ‘BUMBLEBEE’ The Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreations Department fires up "Movies in the Park" this Thursday night with the first feature, "Bumblebee". For the next several weeks, The Parks and Rec people will be providing these movies Thursday nights at Spring Lake Park, the movies will start between 7-8PM and are shown in the field across the street from the old airplane. The movies are free of charge and the Texarkana Parks Department wants to promote a very family-friendly atmosphere so no alcohol or smoking is allowed. Make sure to bring blankets and chairs to sit on and yes, you are allowed to bring food and drinks as well. Concessions are available, but please, pick up after yourself.

Yeah I live in Dallas and I t’s too far away, but for the people in Texarkana, that’s really cool. I loved the movie, buts its not worth a 2.5 hour drive. It’s pretty funny how the story mentions the whole state of Texas though. Hopefully it becomes a state wide program.
Cool idea....but as far as narrowing this down for Texans to watch....Texas is sorta big....It\'s the equivalent of saying \"Colorado is showing a movie, that will give opportunities for nearby Californian\'s to come watch\"

Yeah I think I'll just watch for free on DVD, and I'm from Galveston... but great for those in Texarkana!
